The non-word poozle goes all the way back to when Fiona posted them. Ancient history.

It's not until Fiona's personal page 3 that there were dates on the bottom of comments, so the poozles may have begun in such ancient history that it is before time!

I'm back. And I'm pretty darn sure Fiona doesnt like anyone referring to her as pre-historic.

In Forum, under Off Topic, if you click on ''view all Off Topic threads,'' you will get a much longer list. Scan down until you see one titled ''Sudokuspeak.'' It is a real blast from the past, but still explains a number of words that continue to get used here.

Thanks for that information Sarah.

Our president spoke tonight. I think I can safely say that he has a very good speech writer.

Plum, I totally understand what you're saying about wandering jew. I learned yesterday that the varieties are not just different species, there are three or four different genus in the mix. The name seems to refer more to their vegetative habit rather than any relationship between them. Some are More...

In the Sudokuspeak forum entries, poozle is not mentioned, but another version, puzzel, is, which I do not remember and seems more a typo than Sudokuspeak. It was interesting to see that many terms folks thought were Sudokuspeak were merely Australian versions of English. Australians limit More...

I couldn't bear to listen to the speech tonight. It will be discussed ad nauseum in the days to come, so I will learn all I don't want to know. I would have watched only to see reactions of Democrats and their invited guests in the balcony, but I bet that will be described, as well, in the coverage tomorrow.

Should have watched, Sarah. It was not what I expected.

At last here is the answer to Mondays poozle, puzzel or puzzle, whatever you want to call it.

Yes, a lot of the ''words'' in Sudokuspeak seem to be typos or misspellings because they were done in a rush, but then we, as a group, seem to find a lot of strange things funny.

Strange things ... like each other?

Poozle, from memory came from Kathy (M) when she used to be Fiona's highly paid assistant.

Most of these 'typos' come from FFS - Fat Finger Syndrome.

Wongerful is another that comes to mind.

I think I'll just amble along for a bit.

It's a lot easier than gallumping.

Now that's another Sudokuspeak word...Gallump!

AQmble along a bit more.....

Aqambling = ambling in water.

Another heavy storm woke us up. Very active weather with severe thunderstorms going through the lower tiers of Michigan counties with hail, high winds and elevated risk of tornadoes. At the same time the UP and the northern LP are under a winter storm watch. Regionally I see heavy snow in mid Wisconsin and a tornado warning down in Butler County, KY.

Exactly what I was talking about.

Plum submitted a 9½/10 effort ... well done.

Joyce submitted a ''work in progress,'' which I won't evaluate in the hopes her computer will become more cooperative before I post answers tomorrow.

My news tells me that just a little South of us they were getting quarter sized hail. Ours was 'only' penny sized.

Well then, I guess I don't know what a river rat is. In the grand scheme of things I'm okay with that. Besides, I'll find out soon enough.
