Hal, the 8 in row 2 and the 8 in row 7 both seem to wind up in column 4. What am I doing wrong?

The 8 in row 2, column 4 is correct. But there is no 8 in row 7. Row 7 is 020 000 100.

I just read that RG3 will miss up to eight months as he requires complere knee reconstruction sugery. So much for the Redskins leaving him in the game!

Kathy, thanks for the bagpipe lessons, but I'll ask you to send mine to Shosho as she probably wants them more than I do!

Jamie, maybe be wet, but I am soaked.
After taking a useless shower, or it was more useless to dry off, I bundle the girls up and hand them useless umbrellas, then pushed them out the door and feared of thier drowning as we swam to the car. Then we hydroplaned to school. I was smart enough to More...

The first bell had already rang by the time we got to school and we left the house at 7:30, when we generally leave at 7:40 and have 5 minutes to spare on normal days. Where we are supposed to drop the children off in the morning, was flooded. The thought of dropping K off on the high school side, More...

My and I hydroplaned home, got the girl out of the car and she took off towards the house. I on the other hand, became drenched. After getting things out of the car and struggling with my umbrella, the wind and rain took over. Blew my umbrella straight open and my jacket hat off. By the time I made it to the front porch, I was drenched and looked like a drowned rat.

Of course, this much needed rain, meant I had no Internet service for 17 hours.

This is not a happy place right now, Greg. I don't think he should have been playing at all. It will be interesting to see what the repercussions (if any) will be for the coach and that idiot team doctor. Maybe RG3 will surprise them and heal more quickly than expected. We can but hope.
I doubt Cousins wanted to move to the position this way! What a shame......

RG3 demonstrated the hubris of youth, thinking he was invincible or, at least, strong enough to play with a serious injury. His doctor and coach should have acted as the grownups they are, and kept him out of the game. They let him down. I hope for his sake, and all his fans' sake, that this is not a career-killer.

Keith the 8 in row 8 is in column 1. It's 800 006 000. Maybe this will help: when you're finished, the Sudoku should look like a giant 22.

I have a kalanchoe that has grown to be a large houseplant, but it has not had flowers at all since it was a little gift I received three years ago. I've tried keeping in the dark and followed several other tips, to no avail.

I have been thinking about natural disasters.
There is a tendency to believe they are getting worse - I am thinking about effects from flooding, earthquakes, fires, etc.
However more rational assessments point out that the apparent worsening is not so much due to an increase in the natural More...

Evaluation finished yesterday afternoon. I will get the results back in 8-10 weeks. I will then probably be doing a preceptorship for 4-8 months. I just did the numbers...if I only do the 4 month preceptorship, it will be a year from when I first got the job.

On a positive note, I will continue to Durango tomorrow to visit son #1 and family. From there to Grand Junction to visit a long time friend, back to Denver, then through southeastern Colorado to visit the girls. I might make it back to Kansas in a week and a half.

Then I need to figure out how to pay the bills. Hopefully, someone will hire me. And I need to set up the preceptorship so it is ready to go when I get the news.

I know there are several 'mature' people amongst us. I am having issues with my Aunt. Every conversation ends up being 20 questions, and why this, and why that, and how are you going to do that? Today, she asked me how long I was going to be in Colorado. I told her what I was going to be doing, More...

Sarah Beth - I hope you have a fabulous trip, and I sure hope your aunt is glad when you get back the middle of next month!!
There are certainly some 'mature' people on this site, some more mature than others in all respects. I haven't been around enough to follow your plans - are you going to be the preceptor or the preceptee?

Sarah Beth - Physically able maybe, but at 81, I'd be more concerned about the mental part. Sounds like a situation where you just grin and bear it.
