I just got back from having blood work done. Check in was totally computerized. I've never had that before. I had to scan license, insurance cards, and follow the prompts for all the other info. There were several people in the office that were totally confused as to how to go about it. I felt like a real tech star.

I've been away with sister-city guests from Germany. Our group took them to visit Nashville, TN. (There were 40 of us altogether.) We were there during the Country Music Awards Festival time - a good time to go. Lots of live music on the streets & restaurants/bars. We also toured Mammoth Cave, the Kentucky Horse Park and had a distillery tour - of course! Fun!

Tomorrow I go for a mammogram (call-back, unfortunately - wish me luck!). They are almost as tech enhanced at that office with a completely computerized check-in questionnaire. We had to show ID & insurance to a real person, though!

Jane instituted another RayRay search on TOS. I decided to do some deep detective work since we've been wondering about him for so long. Sadly, I've just had an email back from a neighbor of his at his last known address who says he passed away peacefully a couple years ago. She says she didn't know him well enough to add any details and sends her condolences to our group.

I am so sorry to hear that. Ray had been in ill health for some time. Last I heard from him he was pretty much house-bound and not feeling well at all. I had sent e-mails but never heard back from him.
Thanks for letting us know, Plum.

Yesterday was exciting. We got a storm that acted like a tornado in Dallas. My one neighbor lost two big trees on her front lawn while my other neighbor got a bunch of large branches down. We just lost the cap on our chimney. Around the corner the street was blocked by a huge tree that came down More...

I, too, will miss Rayray. His quirky intellectualism enriched us, and I will go to his page once in a while to enjoy his graphics and poetry.

When the hospital was being built up, the largest free standing crane was used. It was let loose when winds were high - safety. Amazing to see it swing over the street at night.

We had sun all day even tho rain was predicted. Then when radar showed rain it avoided us - the sprinkler went most of the day on the newly planted veggie garden. We have turnips, beets, beans, lettuce up & standing proud! Heirloom tomato plants happy in their spot, onion sets settling in!

Overcast and very little sun, but my heart has been warmed by the 9 people who submitted responses. They were Sarah, Judy, Chris, Plum, Kathy, Amelia, Snowbird, Scout and Joyce. That is the usual nine. Here are the results:
