Kathy - by the looks of the beard on that guy with Judy, I'm thinking maybe it's Keith not CG . Now a race between those two is a possibility since they don't live TOO far from each other. I'd like to see that!! Judy may have slightly more race experience, but if she's following Keith with a stick, he may be able to move faster!!

Not that I am biased or anything Jane but excellent springs to mind.

Jane! SE Michigan has been preparing for this. I can think of at least 10 new roundabouts in this area! (I will be going to the UK for the fifth time this fall and find that so funny! I must be one of the 2.1%!)

all just came back from Maniwki, 90 miles from here on the Quebec side. Had some snow and freezing rain on our way back.
If that man and that little boy are going fishing in t-shirt, is that snow I see on the ground?

Maniwaki the a dropped!

Actually, Kathy, Keith lives a LONG way from me ... in a different state, as a matter of fact .. "Northern California"!

Hi Jane! I'm so glad to see you back! Those new rules the Brits plan for the US are "spot on"! Very clever - they may just have some good ideas there! Would this be a good time for me to tell everyone that we will be together at Fripp Island just 10 days from now? Rob & I are More...

Judy, that North & South rivalry thing was supposed to have ended many years ago!! By the way, where is the Mason Dixon line in CA located? I think maybe you're just a wee bit afraid of the South being defeated by the North AGAIN!!!

Hi, Orianne! The snow is one reason I think that the photo was taken in the California Sierra Nevada Mountains ... the familiar terrain being the other. We spend the summers there and are usually in shorts and T-shirts by mid-May, but piles of snow will linger often until into July, as does the More...

Jane, gainfully employed? What does that mean? There are advantages to have telecommute privileges and a home work space. I do try to ignore them though! Formal retirement is but a few baby steps away.

I hope everyone hasn't fogotten Baz's birthday, I know how devastated he will be to be left out on his special day...

Actually Kathy, the Mason Dixon line in California is around Los Angeles. We have Los Angeles and then there is the rest of California. Unfortunately, Judy lives south of LA and has to cross over to the upper part of the state very carefully and at a special time of day (preferably 2AM Sunday morning). She can go around the east edge to head for the cabin.

Uh, Keith ... you're supposed to be running AWAY!

Nurn1 - Perhaps that Manhattan-size chunk of ice that collapsed recently in Antarctica has wended its way up north to extend your winters!

I'm perfectly happy with our Coastal Georgia weather. I don't mind the muggy heat in the summer as long as I'm close to the ocean and can jump in whenever I want!

1.20 How about that. Brain must be engaged.
I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Ok, Keith, I guess you're safe as long as you're hiding out in the northern territories. But watch your back!

Jane - I think you might be right about the chunk of ice - however, our bit of the Atlantic Ocean is always cold, and we hardly ever get warm muggy summers to help us like it. (Moan, moan) - That said, I don't like it too hot either...! Perhaps I should just be happy where I am!
