God morning from sunny Colorado. Sure could use some rain. Fire danger very very high.

HI all! Rainy and stormy here today. Colorado seems the only dry place on the planet so far!
To the riddle - seems if you keep the answers short the messages go through - will give it a try - answers to the short inbox please!

Good Maen, all! We have been getting a lot of rain ever since Beryl barreled through! We are still designated as 'abnormally dry', however. Hard to fathom when everything is totally saturated!

Fiona - did you get the e-mail I sent last week?
12/Jun/12 12:26 AM

Send it up here, Jane! We need it badly!

I don't know how many people actually tried to answer this latest puzzle. I thought it was going to be more difficult than it was, but everybody just assumed that there was water in the water bottle.
The official answer is:

I had fruit for breakfast too! High of 33C expected today and it's already way too hot to cook. So much for corn on the cob!

Cook it in the microwave! Eight minutes does it perfectly.

Jane, you & Rob were happy. I was not. I would have rather seen Djokovic make history than Nadal.

Heidi, thanks for filling in as the puzzlemeister. I sent an answer for the V puzzle along with a few more sentences. Guess that was too much as my PM didn't go through. I'm beginning to wonder if it's going to be possible for Gath to restore the site to normal. The difficulties seem to be increasing & the number of posts decreasing. Makes me kind of sad.

Hal - the next time we have corn, I'll try that! Jaime is the corn shucker, and it takes him at least 15 minutes an ear to get every bit of the silk off (he's very fussy!) Think I'll try it tonight, in fact!

Thanks on the tips for corn on the cob using the microwave. It never occurred to me to cook them in the microwave. And what an easy way to shuck the cobs. Maybe we will have corn on the cob for supper after all.

Looks like this afternoon, we will find out if we have another home. If I don't sound thrilled, it is because, I am not. The house is a fixer upper and on my house wish list I asked for a ready to move in. But the house is a great price, good location, and 2 school district option.
