Sunny & crisp!
All the leaves dropped off my Ghinkgo tree last night! It's a 'thing' with that tree. When it gets below a certain temp, they all fall in less than a days' time.
Got down to 24 F (-4 C) last night. Brrrr!

Shiela, a friend just yesterday told me the same thing about the Ginkgo in her yard. She swore it happened in about 2 hours! Just one big dump.

I'm glad you noted the ghost post, Hal. For a second there, I thought perhaps you had succumbed to a bout of narcolepsy.

1:28. Good morning everyone. I'm on here nice and early today, just started my pre-race routine. I have another marathon starting at 7:15 (the second in four weeks), this time a local one called the 'Resolution Run' in support of men's health (in particular, prostate cancer research.) It's a fairly More...

About a month ago, I paid big $$$ for a new pair of glasses. I mention the cost because, you'd think, for what I paid, they would be of superior quality. One of the lenses popped out this morning. My ophthalmologist's office is closed on weekends, so the optician who fitted the frames is not there, either. I am getting by with an old pair and doing a lot of squinting.

...not trying to start with the excuses already , but this marathon could be very interesting - I pulled my right hamstring in a 5km race only eight days ago (luckily not badly) and I've had three massage therapy sessions on it since, and it's taped, in an attempt to get it right for today. I really have no idea how, or if, it's going to hold up for 42km.

Chris, good luck! You're running for a good cause.

...and CG! By the way Greg, I'm planning on running the Boston marathon in 2018 and, if I do, I'll head up to Ottawa to visit my brother. If I do it'd be great to catch up.

I have the understanding that with tablets, if you exit back to the home screen using the side button instead of closing Sudoku to leave, ghost posts become a possibility.

Good luck Chris.
I love Gingko trees and their yellow leaves in Autumn. We do not have the right cold climate to grow them successfully.

We will be away for a few days R&R. Hope to catch up with Bluey.

Good luck, Chris! Yes, I'm grateful for the research done already for prostate cancer. My hubby is a survivor of that cancer. After two months of radiation therapy, he's good to go!

Chris, it would be nice to finally meet up after you missed the Ottawa marathon several years ago. Does your brother still live on the canal as I do? Anyway, 2018 is a way to go yet. Hope you make it (and me too!).
