My weekend off is over. Here's a puzzle before I get ready for the day. A word ladder is a puzzle in which you are given two words, with steps in between them. You are supposed to change just one letter on each step as you go from the top word to the bottom word. Each step must be a common More... 15/Oct/12 12:14 AM |  |
I've gotten around the clothes dryer thing by only buying one type of sock per person. They still come up missing but it's not as annoying. 15/Oct/12 12:15 AM |  |
hahaha! Lizzy - saw you were on the site and had to come back to Easy to wish you the same! 15/Oct/12 12:24 AM |  |

We are on the boat in Budapest. I had not figured out when changeover happens, but I might be here at the right time. 15/Oct/12 12:52 AM |  |
We've had one night on the boat. We were exhausted from a very long travel day+. 15/Oct/12 12:55 AM |  |
We did a bus tour of the city this morning. Lots of beautiful buildings. Lots of history. 15/Oct/12 12:57 AM |  |

Be Bald and Free DayandNational Dessert Day 15/Oct/12 1:13 AM |  |
Wow, Keith, if change over was in the afternoon, when you are home, you might could get it more often. Hope the jet lag passes and you are able to enjoy yourself.BTW, are there any statues you can pose with on a cruise? 15/Oct/12 1:15 AM |  |
everybody. Keith, glad you had a good day in Budapest. We liked Budapest even better than Prague. Try to stay awake until bedtime there & get a good night's sleep tonight! Naps will throw you off! 15/Oct/12 1:16 AM |  |
Karen, it's funny that you happened to mention statues while Keith is in Budapest. Back in 2006 I posed with a statue of a butler & a bulldog which was in the lobby of our hotel. When another sudokuist, Noemi of Israel, saw it amongst my Flickr photos, she remembered that she had a photo of More... 15/Oct/12 1:28 AM |  |
 everyone!!! 15/Oct/12 1:28 AM |  |
 Kathy, 15/Oct/12 1:31 AM |  |
Oh Karen, what a wonderful day - National Dessert Day! Hmm what shall I have to honor today??? Something with chocolate! I happen to have some Australian dark chocolate Tim Tams. I could make my favorite coffee with Kahlua and have a Tim Tam Slam!!! Yummy! 15/Oct/12 1:31 AM |  |
Kathy, what a great story! You're right, you can get some really great friends even though you haven't met them in person YET. You never know what the future holds for you. When I've met Sudokuists, it was like we just carried on the friendship because we already knew each other! 15/Oct/12 1:34 AM |  |
shosho, I feel lucky to have met in person many of the people I have 'met' on this site, including both you & Keith! After almost 7 years (can it be?!!) of participating here I have lost count of the total. You really do get to 'know' people even before you are ever actually with them! Most of my local friends really don't get that. 15/Oct/12 1:48 AM |  |
Good morning to all! Looks like there was a long wait in Canberra. 15/Oct/12 2:05 AM |  |
Well done to Serena for the first post, Anne for her favorite 13 and Keith (all the way from Budapest) for the 22. 15/Oct/12 2:07 AM |  |
Kathy, we haven't heard from Noemi in a long time. Say hello to her from all the old timers on the site next time you're chatting. 15/Oct/12 2:10 AM |  |
everyone! For those who have asked, I am alive and well. We had a great trip viewing 'Presidents and Patriots of the Heartland'. I had my first ever soaking at Niagara Falls and we went from there. Some of the itinerary: Buffalo, N.Y. More... 15/Oct/12 2:28 AM |  |
I'm afraid I'm going to be scarce around here for awhile longer. My grand daughter's husband has just been deployed to Afghanistan and she is due to have their first baby in 2 weeks. I am leaving next week to be with her.I haven't had time to go back and catch up on all that I have missed More... 15/Oct/12 2:38 AM |  |
Kathy, your President's trip sounded very interesting. (Those not on FB don't know what they missed! ) Soon you will have another thrill - does this mean you will have a great grandchild?! I am happy for you, but sad for your granddaughter. What a shame her husband's deployment came just 2 More... 15/Oct/12 2:57 AM |  |
Greg, I will be sure to let Noemi know you said hello. I have been searching through her Flickr pictures & mine & found both of the ones taken by the statue in Budapest. My pic was taken on June 13, 2006, & Noemi's was taken on Aug. 23, 2006. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get both of them together in my Gallery! I might need some help from Rob with that. 15/Oct/12 3:06 AM |  |
