Di, your 1500s anecdote was very entertaining. I remember learning something at school about the Pont Neuf in Paris in that same era. Like London Bridge, this “New Bridge” was a busy market place, lined with market stalls. You could always recognise the stall where the dentist/surgeon plied his More...

Carol explained, 'When I pull a nail out of my pouch, about half of them have the head on the wrong end and I throw them away.'
Donna got completely upset and yelled, 'You moron!
Those nails aren't defective! They're for the other side of the house!'

Amie Beth Dickinson, Miss Alabama 1994 in the Miss USA contest, said the ''I would not live forever' quote, not Heather Whitestone, who went on to become Miss America 1995.

Also, I believe the pollution quote was George W. Bush, but definitely not Al Gore.

Little Blue Pill
An elderly gentleman went to the local drug store and asked the pharmacist for the little blue 'Viagra' pill.
The pharmacist asked 'How many?'
The man replied, 'Just a few, maybe a half dozen. I cut each one into four pieces.'
The pharmacist said, 'That's too small a More...

Mel from Perth - Socially or organised. Maybe table tennis for both, think of China. But it's definitely not the highest profile sport.
