Thank you all for your thoughts in regard to my daughter working till midnight.
After reading all your replies I stopped to think and asked myself the question. Why is she working in the first place? The obvious answer was - money!

Now I know I’m not financially wealthy, but my children More...

Three men were sitting together bragging about how they had given their
new wives duties.

The first man had married a woman from Alabama, and bragged that he had
told his wife she was going to do all the dishes and house cleaning
that needed done at their house. He said that it More...

Angie, yes, definitely we give our kids too much. Materialism runs rampant. Kids kill kids for their Nikes.

Angie, Yes, many today are giving the kids too much trying to make up for not being able to do something else, having to work long hours, to keep up with friends, etc. That's one of the reasons kids have come to expect to get everything they want right away...too many parents and grandparents can't More...

Angie, I actually think working a part time job is good for a youngster as it teaches them self reliance, promotes positive self esteem. Working all hours of the night though is too much. I don't care what their work rules are. They should not be working your (or anyone elses) child till 12pm. More...

Angie- Yes and yes. I am a teacher at a private school where many of the children come from very wealthy families. They have EVERYTHING so my son thinks he needs everything too. He is only 8, but he will have to come to terms one day with being among the 'have nots' and not the 'haves.' We are More...
