Morning. A light dusting of snow this morning. Wind drifts up to a quarter of an inch.

Good mAen, good people. Keith - a β€œdrift” of 1/4””? Sounds pretty flaky to me! 🀣 ❄️

Hey, look at that ... does this site now recognize the difference between a single-quote or apostrophe [ β€˜.’ ] and a double quote [ β€œ.” ]?

Or is it just my screen recognizing what I typed in (because the site has always required an extra keystroke to designate inches).

Tie on your shoes, Keith. πŸ‘ŸπŸ‘Ÿ It’s time for you to gallumph to 22.

My report on FB from this morning:
After a harrowing touch and go day yesterday, Wally rallied, settled in and did well last night. Things have continued to resolve today. Our sweet boy is a fighter. The strength and love of his Mom and family are awe-inspiring. I couldn't be more grateful, More...

Morning all, pretty little birds.
We got a good drenching from the storm front yesterday , it started just after lunch and rained most of the afternoon.
17/Jan/20 5:52 AM
 |  |

Hang in there, Wally. You can beat this!
17/Jan/20 5:55 AM

Well, I guess I'll test Plum's 'hypothesis'.
17/Jan/20 7:29 AM

Nope! I see only apostrophes, not quotation marks.

Love these birds! When they come to my feeder in Winter they are like a ray of sunshine.

Sibley calls that the American Goldfinch. Where I live, I see the Lesser Goldfinch. I've got to experiment, too: 'quotes' and 2' ... how you walk without a limp.
17/Jan/20 8:40 AM
 |  |

Nope, doesn't work for me either. Think I'll have a beer. Anyone want to join me?
17/Jan/20 8:41 AM
 |  |
G'day! Regarding the Goldfinch differences - we have American Goldfinches here in the northeast & American Goldfinches lose their 'gold' color in the winter whereas, the Lesser Goldfinches supposedly retain their color in the winter. I cannot attest to that, but that's what Google says....!!!
17/Jan/20 9:24 AM
 |  |

Good luck Wally. We're all wishing you well.
17/Jan/20 9:43 AM

I'll have a beer with you Keith......Cheers, mate!

Now for the test ''''..''''

Nah, didn't work. Ah well, back to the drawing board!
