I read a sign the other day - I live in the garden and only sleep in the house! It's me down to a T. (I'm not sure how the 't' is spelt in that phrase)

My little heifers are very happy to see me now. Its just amazing how food can over ride nervous fear. No. 19 the smaller of the 2 jumps if her feed bowl moves, but has learned that its survival of the fitter against braver and bossier No. 12. It's heads down, eat flat out and hope you can eat faster than 12, otherwise you kicked out of your food bowl!

As for the phrase, 'down to a T,' I found this on Wiktionary.

The origins of this phrase are uncertain, but it has been observed in print since at least 1889, and likely was around well before that. The potentially related phrase 'to a tittle' is found in a 1607 play, The Woman Hater by More...

This auto correct and spontaneous repeat of all of my post or some of it is driving me nuts.

My mother is avidly watching the baseball game, the American League playoffs. After a while, she asked what city the Blue Jays are from! Sorry, CG. We live in a National League town. She was a Mets fan when she lived in New York (and Brooklyn Dodgers her whole life until they left for California), so what does she know about the American League?

Let me see if I've got this right, CP. Mr. P beat you to near death, you decided to go back to bed, and now you want him to join you.

You Aussies are weird.

Sarah, in my humble opinion, the only spectator sport more boring than baseball is chess.
