 G'day mates. Here's what I'm wondering about today:Isn’t the center of register the gist of the word?And here's today's factoid:Technically speaking, coffee is a fruit juice. 17/Feb/14 12:00 AM |  |
A Thought For The Day: Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat all day drinking beer. 17/Feb/14 12:00 AM |  |
No need to even sit in a boat. 17/Feb/14 12:03 AM |  |
Good morning to all! Kayo, I'm drinking some 'fruit juice' right now. 17/Feb/14 12:08 AM |  |
With reference to yesterday's puzzle, for number 15, the children’s books are known as Where’s Wally in many parts of the world, but in North America they were produced with a regional name of Where’s Waldo. Either Wally or Waldo was a correct response but the second part had to be Wald. Most folks picked up on these two different names. 17/Feb/14 12:10 AM |  |

everyone! We have a much nicer day here. It's still rather cold, but the sun is shining! Very nice to see that for a change. 17/Feb/14 1:58 AM |  |
At first I thought they were going to wash dishes, then I noticed the plate of burgers on the counter. 17/Feb/14 2:02 AM |  |
I think the big dog is generous to give the little 'un first crack at the burgers. He could have easily scarfed them all down himself. 17/Feb/14 3:04 AM |  |
Nothing like teamwork! I hope the little 'un shared! 17/Feb/14 3:37 AM |  |
Mother Nature shows 'lake front' property owners who's really in charge. This happened last year on May 13, 2013 A tsunami-like wave of ice called an ice heave destroyed a dozen two-story homes in Minnesota. https://youtube.googleapis.com/v/fqptbtwXUCs and this is how it started. https://youtube.googleapis.com/v/Wbs8tN8xlxA 17/Feb/14 3:40 AM |  |

Everybody.I agree with CG about Spring coming faster. It's snowing here again. And more expected tomorrow night. Hard to believe they think we'll get to about 50F on Thursday, even if it's just for the day. 17/Feb/14 5:23 AM |  |
 everyone!!! 17/Feb/14 6:54 AM |  |
Kayo, coffee is really more like a tea but instead of brewing leaves, we brew the seeds! We discard the fruit part. Has anyone ever tasted the berry? I know the fruit of the cacao bean is suppose to taste sweet and good. Now I want to eat a cacao fruit!!! Any chance of anyone knowing how to get a hold of one??? 17/Feb/14 6:57 AM |  |
Good morning everyone. Shosho, sorry, but I wouldn't know where to start. I just drink it! 17/Feb/14 7:02 AM |  |

A B (Banjo) Patterson's 150th anniversary today. For the uninitiated, he was an Australian poet responsible for such gems as Waltzing Matilda, The Man From Snowy River, The Man from Ironbark and many more.........He wrote mostly about the bush in an easy to read More... 17/Feb/14 9:28 AM |  |
I understand there is a film about to be made about Waltzing Matilda and Dagworth Station. 17/Feb/14 10:13 AM |  |
Happy Bithday, Banjo. Personally I prefer the writing of Henry Lawson - much more real and much less 'romantic'. 17/Feb/14 10:15 AM |  |
Shosho - numbers in sudoku are just symbols, that I don't have to calculate! I can cope with that. 17/Feb/14 10:16 AM |  |
