That's a seasonally appropriate picture.

OH, HalT, good morning.
Hope you enjoyed your time away.
I have missed you so much.

Actually, I really did. Having pictures on a streamline, popped you, Sue and Jamie up. That was such a nice evening. Don't think I have seen my ax since that night.

Grandpa:

'My grandson is about as many days as my son is weeks, and my grandson is as many months as I am in years. My grandson, my son and I together are 100 years. Can you tell me my age in years?'

Answers to my ‘’3 generations’’ inbox please.

Well, getting a good nights sleep, has me up on a Monday, at my regular time. Humph.
My alarms are not set, because we do not have to go to school today, so at 5:30 I ignored the urge to get up, but ended up being restless. So, here I am being quiet, in the house, so as not to wake my darlings, who need their nutritious sleep.

That is one job we do not have to do, clear snow. However, we do have to mow the lawn both summer and winter.

We're getting our first real winter storm. The snow is coming down fairly heavily right now. We only have about an inch of snow so far, but ''they'' say that there should be about 12' accumulation by mid afternoon.
Brrrrrrrrrr

Wow!!! Today's picture could be Magnolia, Kentucky, tho' I bet nobody here has a snow blower.

I left to take Elijah to band. I got there and they are having boiler problems. It hasn't reached 0F here yet so I can see why they are sending kids home. Would have been nice to have this information about 15 minutes earlier though. Oh well.

Good morning to all! Manotick is part of Ottawa, and yes, that's a normal winter scene here, but it must be early winter as there's still not all that much snow on the ground!

We are under an extreme cold weather warning again today for the fourth time in the last week. It's currently minus 26C with a wind chill of minus 38C.

Oh my, CG, I am sorry you're not going to have a pleasant weather conditions. But you'll be able to make a nice snowman today!

Went for a run this morning and it was a cool 58ºF, cool enough for me to put on a wind breaker before stepping out. But soon I'll be able to dispense with that. Maybe I should change into my running capri?

Think I'll go out for a drive to see if the San Gabriel mountain range which surrounds Los Angeles has snow on the top. It's about 66 miles from where I live. Don't have to drive far to see the mountains just up the hills of Palos Verdes which less than 5 miles from me.

Good to 'see' you back, Ray.

, y'all! Well, it looks like the icy stuff will miss us. Not a truly bad thing (no downed trees causing power outages which contribute to freezing pipes), though I would've love to have slept in tomorrow morning.

Looks like Keith is sleeping in, today. OR Waiting to pounce, at the appropriate time.

Looks like most of our puzzlers tossed up their hands in futility at the Valentine's logic puzzle. This one was a difficult one, but we had some winners. First the answers:

• David gave his girlfriend Florence cookies (Girl Scout cookies purchased from our troop, no doubt). They went to More...

Good photo for today.Trouble is, it doesn't show the extremely cold temps. BRRRRR!

2:16. Silverguy said he and his brother earned pretty good money clearing driveways for neighbors in Chicago when they were teens. He said the colder and later it got, the higher their rates were! The worst (and costliest to the homeowners) were the ones who didn’t call for several days and the snow had packed down.

I think I'll change the avatar to a snowman, giving today's photo and the weather in the northeastern US.

Silvergal, not that many puzzlers enjoy logic puzzles so little participation. C'est la vie.

I have been house-bound several days due to our cold weather and snowstorms. I've almost prepared a puzzle for next weekend to give you a break. It might be an easy one, but time will tell. Stay tuned puzzlers.

I'd heard from one puzzler that logic puzzles were a fave, but it's apparently not widespread. No prob. I'll find something else to break up the rebuses - I'm definitely not running out of rebuses anytime soon. If you get one together for this weekend, Greg, go for it.

Usually, I'll give the logic puzzles a try, though I don't often submit answers. This one messed up my mind. (even worse than it normally is. ) After an hour and still not even getting a 'toe hold', I gave up. But thanks for the 'exercise'.
