That is an interesting take on a Viking Long Boat. Very nice indeed.

I was thinking the same thing, Robin.

Love the Viking Longboat photo on today's puzzle. Wonder who took it, and where it was taken?

I got a funny Father's Day card from Barbara this morning. The front of the card says, 'A Father's Day Quiz:', and has a picture of a rather (no, make that EXTREMELY) well-endowed blond, young lady.
So far, so good!

I opened the card and it says, 'What color is her PURSE?'
And then, '(If you said 'What purse?, you haven't lost your mind being a Dad!)
17/Jun/13 1:52 AM
 |  |

Barbara added, 'Huh! Just as I suspected. :)'

That is funny, HalT.

Uh, did you notice the purse?

I notice there was no answer to your question Karen!!

Yes!

But after I went back to the front of the card.

I got a birthday card with a naked buff man holding a Happy Birthday card over a strategic part of his anatomy. (BTW he wore shorts underneath with a caption saying 'Why are you looking down here?') Hey the card slipped from my hand and landed with his card angled upward!
17/Jun/13 2:53 AM

HalT, what color was the purse?

Have to make a tough decision tomorrow regarding my mom, so I'm going to talk with my middle brother today and I'll drag my dad to the conference tomorrow.

It was green, Shosho, pea green. What color was his hair?

The wealth of information that comes from the people on this site never ceases to amaze me. I would have gone with modern art or strange stick formation.

It was brown! Had to look at the card again!

My children like to help me learn the strange things that a computer can do. When Elijah was younger he figured out a key combination that would rotate the screen image 90 degrees. I'm still not sure how he did it but he did it more than once. Try navigating the mouse and pointer like that.

Baby girl helped me to figure out that the buttons on the monitor can change the image so that the top and bottom of your page are gone. Unfortunately this is the part with all the toolbars and menus. Makes navigation fun.

I have some fudge in the kitchen. I think I'll go celebrate.

I finally decided on a name for my new Gypsy Vanner filly. I'm naming her ''Pandora''.
17/Jun/13 4:11 AM
 |  |

Ah yes, Pandora. The little lady who released all the evils and woes upon the world. The Greek's Eve. But nonetheless, a nice name for a filly.

Good morning. Another quiet day on Sudoku. Happy Father's Day for those celebrating. Aussie fathers have to wait till September.

To joggle the screen back and forth between 'Full Screen' click F11 on the top right of the keyboard.

Hi all. Does anyone else here get 'server failed to connect' when they try to open their inbox on the site? I have a message I can't read!! Gaaaath, help please.

Maybe the person who so kindly dropped me a line could ask Kathy for my email and we could get round the problem that way?

DotCom, it wasn't a browser f11 issue. It was the actual monitor settings she tinkered with. The way she resized it the top and bottom of the screen were out of viewing rang and inaccessible. The hard part was I didn't see her do it. I just got back to the computer and everything was off.

Happy Father's Day where applicable.

Good morning everyone. I think the pic today would make a great stylised stick insect.

I think you mean that she pressed the buttons at the bottom of the screen, so maybe you could try pushing them again and see what happens. After this put a strip of tape over them, maybe that will help. I just had fun reading up on all the F Keys anyway.

What a fantastic modernistic interpretation of a Viking longboat! I like the highly reflective base it's on. It adds to the impression that the boat is in action on the water.

That picture looks like 5 Norsemen surrendering. Beautiful, delicate work of art though.
