Hi everyone. Good Maen all.

Movie- V For Vendetta
 |  |
Yep I like the Corrs.

Good maeN all. 6:35, still getting faster. Maybe by Christmas I'll have a real time! Hope you all have a great weekend!

missing some of the 'old regulars' but good to see o'jim - believe it or not one of my students this year has last name O'Nan so I'll borrow it for the day. Things are slow on here.
My opinion - it's NOT a saguaro, they look like a guy being held up (arms bent at the elbow)
I vote for Joshua Tree - here in CA/USA deserts - where else?
 |  |
Please - yucca, not yukka (that's what the kids say for something that tastes awful!)
Isn't it amazing what you can find on the net?
Good maeN - it's past 10 p.m. and I have the feeling I'm closing down the site here.................................... ...................................

And speaking of deserts - we're finally getting some rain here which means just maybe we might be getting our desert wildflowers! I do know it's going to make for lovely sugar-snap peas in my garden! Hope it stops raining long enough to plant some other seeds this weekend.
Anybody know where Kathy/Valrico is?

Nobody's home so I'm off!

Hey Bill K not only do we share 13th March we share 1963 too, but that doesnt make us 43!!! that makes us 26 and lots of months!!!!!!
 |  |
Just answering your question - no we do not have Joshua trees in Australia.Like Fiona in NT will learn a little about them on the net.

I don't think it is Joshua Tree Nat. Park. It is a Joshua tree however. It is the largest of the Yucca and grows only in the Mojave Desert. Natural stands of this spike-leafed evergreen grow nowhere else in the world. It's height varies from 15 to 40 ft. with a diameter of 1-3 ft. Good day all.

Named my son Joshua after those trees... but then I am a Mojave Desert girl. It seemed appropos.

I will be in Congress on Monday. I am biding my time until the cold...cool, weather passes. Why in the world would you go to Congress? There is not much there. Relatives? Have a safe flight and some fun while there. It's a short drive to Phoenix and Trader Jo's...a very unique grocery store.
