We have a Westie named Maggie - 2½ now and a GREAT dog - full of spunk, interested in everything, very loving. She's also stubborn as a mule, so was a challenge as a puppy - not born with an innate desire to please. She's my daughter's dog, and they do agility together - not sure who loves it more! It's a super breed.

1:44....My best time ever and my first time under 2 minutes! This one just seemed to flow well as I skipped a few of the spots for the 1's but did everything else in order and threw the remaining 1's in at the end.

Sweta: I don't think we need to post about the acceptability of guessing - I just used the voting button. I'm against guessing - I'd much rather have the satisfaction that comes with using pure logic.

We've been conducting a series of experiments in Psyche re: psycho-motor skills and I can state unequivically that it is impossible to achieve some of the times reported here without 'cheating'. A sequential mechanical entry of numbers is one thing but coupled with the need to make a logical More...

I completed a degree and graduate diploma externally for the same reasons as you - location and age of children (2 in nappies). I did much better (grade point average of 6.4something out of a possible 7) than as a young uni student straight out of school. Mature age students (as they're called More...

It is raining hard with bad winds so I can't go skiing today. Thank god for Sudoku. I allow incorrect moves for the easy and medium but for the tough and hard I don't.

PS: What is nishio & Facing Chain? Please help as I would like to be faster at this game. I'm always much slower than most people. I'm sure there are many people like me.

Good MAEN. 3:32 for me this morning here in the sunny Southwest.

Thanks Susan. I completed my degree straight out of school and agree with you about skills. I have never been great at essay writing, so that's intimidating. But I think I will enjoy teaching so I'm going to do my best and hope for the best.

You received a LOT of birthday wishes yesterday... Congratulations..

p.s. It's only 5:18 am and you have already been on-line!!

Welcome Steve! I spent 6 days in Europe many years ago and have always wanted to go back. Germany was beautiful and green. I had lunch in a castle - at least it seemed like a castle to me. In Belgium I really only saw the Grand Place and a vineyard. It was a working trip so I had limited time to look around.

2:25, my best yet! Yipee

Andre: 140% of people don't understand fractions? Now that is an interesting statistic...

Suzy/Oz I also went back to school as an 'adult' and really enjoyed and appreciated the experience so much more than I did when I was younger. There is something about continuing on when you are ready and want to vs. doing it because it is the expected 'next step'.

Thaks LP. I need all the encouraging comments I can get at the moment! It's a month until I start and already I can't sleep.

Elise--does your class do at least 4 of these puzzles a day? Have they done them for every day for a month? Do they all have handheld verisions, books, calendars, and board games?
No? Then I would like them to come to my house and watch me prove them wrong :)

What a cute puppy!! My 1st time doing this online and couldn't figure out exactly what you guys were talking about until I figured out the puzzle. I don't have a clue how long it took, but I think it was pretty quick. I'm just glad I solved my first online Sudoku puzzle. Cya

Like I said try these at your own risk!

Back to school for me today! :( and :). Less time to do sudoku. More paper writing. Agree with LP, Susan, Suzy, it is much different returning as an adult grad student than the first time around. Did I get smarter?

Nice doggie! Late doing this (I think) 7.45 pm Wednesday 18th Jan. UK time. What time does it start?
