Yesterday's Sudokuland chit chat ended up discussing politics, so with that theme in mind ......

A Thought For The Day:

Politicians and nappies (diapers) have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly and for the same reason.

Sudokuland people seem to have differing ideas as to when they should set up their Christmas trees, Christmas lights etc
Here in Adelaide, all that decision making is easy peasy for us. We hang our stuff up as soon as Santa arrives in town.
Every year Santa Clause comes to town riding on his More...

Doug W: Maybe these days it's politically incorrect to have a fat Santa. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Santa Claus sometimes helps the elves by making some toys. He's not as fast as the elves, but he can still make 30 toys each hour. In order to keep from getting bored he starts each day by building 50 trains and then switches to building 50 More...

G'day mates. Kayo's back (for a while). Life has changed a bit for me. A hint is in the icon. :)
Now, without further ado, here's today's factoid: If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.
The daffynitions are still uncrated, but will be back soon.

GREAT seeing you here, Kayo! Congrats on the wedding bells!

Interesting factoid, but whoever came up with it hasn't heard me yelling at my idiot husband. I've been told by neighbors that I have been heard a mile away! Yes, I get REALLY mad at him sometimes.

Guess what? It was hard to get out of bed this morning!
I think I'm supposed to have to wear today!
(I haven't opened my eyes far enough to tell!)
We had very high winds all night.

One you will find in a state that borders Ohio,
Another you will find in a state next to Georgia,
A third can be found in a state that touches Canada,
The last cannot be found in any state at all.

The four major compass directions. WEST Virginia borders Ohio, SOUTH Carolina is More...

We have a live Christmas tree each year and leave it up until Epiphany (Jan 6), so if I put it up on November 9, it would probably have no needles by then!

It will be sad this year... My cat Nigel always loved it when we'd bring the live Christmas tree in. He was an indoor cat and he loved having the tree in the house. I guess that was his connection to the outside world. We tried letting our cats be indoor/outdoor, but after losing several to the More...

Exciting news, Kayo. Congratulations.

The picture made me wonder if I'd gotten lost and wound up on the Parents Page.

Happy dance!

Wow. I thought Sue would be inundated with answers to that one. I thought it was pretty obvious when you figured out what the bordering states were. I've never been a lone winner before. Cool.

I did put in an answer but is wasn't the directional one
Instead I put Washington as cities in bordering states, Pennsylvania and Florida, and the one in no state the DC one. Oh well . . .
