It was very embarassing, and I have never let my husband forget it. He watches his language much better around our kids these days!
Catherine, Alex can't write you a message in French -- he doesn't speak it well enough. But he says 'bonjour' to you and hopes he can go to France soon to meet all his cousins.

One day, Fidel died and went to Heaven. He knocked on the pearly door and demanded to be let in. St Peter looked through the peep-hole and saw Fidel standing there with his two suitcases. He yelled from behind the door that there had to be some mistake, he was destined for the other place. With More...
 |  |
Welcome jefe,' Satan said, 'We've been expecting you.' Still shaken from the sudden drop, Fidel began by complaining that his suitcases were left at the doors of Heaven. 'No problem,' sais Satan, 'We'll send a couple of demons to get them for you.' A while latter, St. Pete heard some noise outside of Heaven's door. Again looking through the peep-hole, he sees the demons with the suitcases.
 |  |
At which point St. Pete says, 'I knew it. Fidel has only been in Hell for five minutes, and already, here comes the refugee.'

I don't have kids, yet, but here's an idea regarding language abuse. (I guess this is more for those with younger children.) Kids always repeat things, especially what they think is naughty. Make up a word or use a 'foreign' word and use it in bad situations. When the kids repeat it, look shocked and tell them not to say that word. This avoids embarassment in real situations.

Bad new, I found a some old jokes!

When Edison discovered the lightbulb, did a little candle appear above his head?

Never say to a Saint Bernard dog 'Fetch the paper, boy'!

Why do we call them waiters? Aren't we the ones waiting?

Pete (from Port Douglas) - wish I was there!
Had a great year in Cairns in '97! Couldn't believe the size of Bill Clinton's boots in the Art Museum!

New to this so a bit slow yet!
 |  |
so what grade are you teaching? how new?
I'm so very glad to have a 4-day weekend away from my first graders - don't have to think about them! very trying group this year, but I'm getting 'em whipped into shape. not as much parent support as in previous years, busier families, single parents, etc.

I admire folks that can work Sudoku in lightning speed. I stare at it for a while then get going. Still takes more time than I care to admit. I tried the Websudoku.com and was even slower there. However, I eventually figure it out. That's some consolation.

Bonjour Larryville, je suis heureuse de voir qu'il y a d'autres personnes francophones qui aiment ce site. Au plaisir!

I really like the jokes and the games. I'm new to this site, but I love it. The joke about teenagers is very appropriate. My daughter turns 13 on Mon.
 |  |
My daughter turns 13 next week too.... It's an 'interesting' time isn't it?

Good mAen all. Having a cold day, 10deg.F (-13deg C.
God gave some people brains, the rest he gave hair. Just wanted to brighten a bald persons day.

I've submitted Felix MaPoVeNo, but I already was using 'Good Aftermorn' to people I work with in India, who come to work in the evening there, morning here. It gets rid of the awkwardnessful moments where we acknowledge (or don't) the time zone differences. I think it's better than the morphy mouthful offered by the linguist.

FESTE from TX.....Keep at it. You may never get as fast as some of these folks but as long as you have the satisfaction of finishing it, that is what I like. I am still in the 4 Min. range on the easy. Some people just have that ability to see the numbers. Most of the time, I have to put in More...

5:02 slow, but I haven't had a chance to play in 2whole weeks...:(

Oklahoma finally got some moisture, but it is in the form of ice and snow. We will take anything though and be thankful.

Hi to all, special hi to Karen from Ramsbottom, just about 4 miles from me and where i was born and brought up!!!
 |  |
Feste...I usually study the puzzle a bit before I start. The other day I did the puzzle before I got my morning started. Wasn't looking forward to work that day. Standing in the shower, our tile is small marble squares...are you ready for this? I actually saw sudoku pattern in the tile.
