Oh dear, it is 6 PM, here and there are people showing up at my house! I hope they are not expecting dinner, there is about 8 of them and all I have planned is saurkrout(?) and wienies.

I was woken at 5am by the rain and wind, hubby shutting windows, #2 son up and getting ready for work, and I thought I might get up and play sudoku. It was good that I went back to sleep. When I tried at 6am I got the dreaded white page.
I'm glad it's all better now. Gath must have found a big bandaid to fix it.

Reggie the dog is going to have his stitches removed today. It was supposed to be yesterday but there was an emergency at the vets and he was postponed. We will all be happy - especially now he doesn't have to wear the collar to stop him licking and chewing his stitches. I'm sure he bangs that More...

Can't let the day end without posting my culinary holiday avatar. I shall keep using it until I am well enough to cook and taste food, at which time I will treat myself to a Plum Fool made with custard and yogurt and post the perfected recipe for all!

Very wet here in Brissie - 150ml rain in less than 24 hours. Same rain that flooded Coffs Harbour but slowly moving north - should improve tomorrow.

Hi Anne - flippers etc at the ready! Ok here at home but plenty of local flooding at high tide.
All else is OK except that Colin hurt his ribs badly last week (Xray shows they are not broken) but he's in pain - so this bad weather has given him the chance to rest a bit this week - nobody wants their lawns mowed in the rain.
