 okay here we go ......... 02/Jul/07 3:12 PM |  |
Jeb, Sue, as I said before, SEND THE RAIN OVER HERE!!! We could really, really, really use it here. We were suppose to get lots of rain last winter because of the El Nino conditions but it bypassed us! Someone STOLE our rain! I suspect whoever stole it, got scared and tried to dump the evidence your way. 02/Jul/07 3:17 PM |  |
Sue, a couple more critters just floated by. They had nothing to say about the situation. I heard on the radio last night that the little town of Neodesha in Southeast Ks. was completely isolated. Wouldn't that give you a strange feeling? 02/Jul/07 3:19 PM |  |
To Scott from your daddy.... You are six today my son and i would like to wish you a happy birthday. Fiona, you are a wonderful mother and a loving wife...Je t'aime, Eric. 02/Jul/07 3:22 PM |  |
Thank goodness for that Jeb. You meant doodads, when you said dodads I wondered at the time if ya really meant gonads. 02/Jul/07 3:26 PM |  |
 oops DOODADS! 02/Jul/07 3:28 PM |  |
 02/Jul/07 3:36 PM |  |
jeb, I also heard Fredonia is under water. My B-I-L is stranded at his house north of Independence with the bass boat ready. M-I-L and S-I-L Ok for now. Hubby is distracted and beside himself. (ps 2 of the 3 of those town name are in the list of you know you are from Kansas when you can pronounce...) 02/Jul/07 3:38 PM |  |
Jeb, hadn't heard about Neodesha but the Elk has flooded Indenpendence and can't go south out of Coffeeville into Oklahoma they also have an oil spill. There are a lot of roads closed over this way and expect more will be closed by tomorrow. 02/Jul/07 3:38 PM |  |
Sara Beth, sounds like you know the area. 02/Jul/07 3:41 PM |  |
Sara Beth, What is the other town 02/Jul/07 3:42 PM |  |
Sue, so much for sending him in the southern route! He gets so frustrated when things are out of (his)control. I will trust that things are in HIS (HER) control and all will be alright 02/Jul/07 3:44 PM |  |
♪♪♪ Wishing a very to Ian from Sydney. Hope you enjoyo your day! 02/Jul/07 3:45 PM |  |
that you can pronounce? Ossawatomie was one, there were others. I told jeb I would find the list and post it sometime. My husband grew up in the Bartlesville/Independence area. I have spent some time there in the past 21 years. 02/Jul/07 3:46 PM |  |
Ian, Scott, Mickey. I will read back and catch up with the others tomorrow. Had a wonderful, relaxing girls weekend away...returned to little Mr. Sunshine! 02/Jul/07 3:48 PM |  |
Hey you're fast, rosemary. I love 1 (provided that's not a toilet she's sitting on) and 2, but not 3 so much - don't have any grey hair yet. I love the original one too, just that all the other avatars for others have these really hot looking women, and it's nice to dream and fantasise! lolHappy birthday also to Ian, Sandy and k's little girl - lots of celebrating going on today. 02/Jul/07 3:49 PM |  |
Sara Beth, I grew up between Parsons and Chanute, a million years ago. Very small town not even sure it is on the maps.If you ever come to or near Bartlesville let me know, maybe we could have lunch. 02/Jul/07 3:51 PM |  |
Sara Beth, Oklahoma has the same type of towns with unpronounceable names, trying to learn them. Most are Indian names here that I have trouble with. I probably know most of the ones in Kansas. 02/Jul/07 3:55 PM |  |
Sue, I had friends from both Parsons and Chanute in college. What is the name of your hometown? We go to B'ville occasionally. Independence isn't exactly the hot spot to shop. 02/Jul/07 3:59 PM |  |
 its a pile of books 02/Jul/07 3:59 PM |  |
Just wanted to let you all know that I'm back home safe. Lynne and I had a wonderful time. This is the longest we've been away from home for years. Boy was our dog glad to see us. Too tired to do much but check in. I'll update my page in a day or two after we unpack and settle back in. 02/Jul/07 4:02 PM |  |
I thought it might have been rosemary, just checking. I'm on my son's laptop, and it's a bit hard to be sure. That's me all right, LOVE to read, just don't get enough time. See how sweet and innocent I am, butter wouldn't melt in my mouth! 02/Jul/07 4:04 PM |  |
Before I go, just wanted to pass on some interesting info I read. It was that the temperatures on Mars are increasing at a parallel rate with Earth's and that Jupiter is undergoing massive changes never seen before. Its stripes are changing, thought to be because its seasons are changing. Universal warming? 02/Jul/07 4:07 PM |  |
Sara Beth, We moved from Wichita when I was 12, to the end of the earth so I thought. Galesburg was nothing then and even less now, not even a high school.B'ville isn't all that great either. Use to go to Tulsa to serious shop but Owasso is growing big time and can get most everything there and is a few miles closer.Independence does have a Mexican Resturant I really like. 02/Jul/07 4:13 PM |  |
Sue, so many of the small towns in Kansas are getting smaller. I'm not familiar with Owasso. May have to check it out next time I'm down there....if it doesn't float away. We have eaten at that restaraunt. I assume you aren't talking about Taco Hut! LOL 02/Jul/07 4:17 PM |  |
Off to bed for now. Tomorrow comes soon! 02/Jul/07 4:18 PM |  |

I'll be dipped Sue, my g-pa was born and grew up near Galesburg in a farmhouse. His birth certificate just says Neosho Co. and my great g-pa is buried there. His sister and her family farmed for years a couple of miles North of Erie. 02/Jul/07 5:38 PM |  |
Hi Canadians! I celebrated today by having pancakes with bacon, bananas and maple syrup for breakfast - a taste I acquired in Canada some years ago. YUM!What a great country! 02/Jul/07 5:49 PM |  |

Just got this in an email.A father watched his young daughter playing in the garden. He smiled as he reflected on how sweet and pure his little girl was.
