We did not get the 6" of snow we were promised. I like to stay in bed and sleep in and snuggle on snow days. TM takes great pride in not being a sloth and hopping out of bed. He is now snoozing in his recliner.

Happy Tuesday!
Karen: I have no idea what Mudd (2 d's makes it different from regular Mud?)is, but I like the idea of Go Caroling Day and Sangria Day.
How will those carols sound if I have too much sangria, though?

A little louder than normal, Aileen, but very enthusiastic with sort of a Mexican accent?

I need an elf to come in and start cleaning this house. I don't see one around, so I guess I better get busy!

I hope Mudd Day is not in reference to Dr. Samuel Mudd, who aided John Wilkes Booth after Booth assasinated Abraham Lincoln.
Incidently, that's where the expression "Your name is Mudd" comes from.

That is what I learned this morning, HalT. Mudd day is in reference to Samual Mudd, who was mislead, when Booth wore a disguise, so Mudd would help him. He was pardoned years later, since it was proven that Booth fooled him. And yes, it was where the phrases, Your Name is Mudd and Here is Mudd in your eyes, was coined.

Could it be the Harvey Mudd for whom a private liberal arts school was named after? It's one of the six Claremont schools in California. Students can take classes for credit at the four of the other colleges. But can you imagine the embarrassment of saying you go to Mudd college?

Oh wrote the post while you were posting! Oh well, not after the more prestigious Mudd.

Hal, glad you got your computer back. We're rather spoiled in this day and age. Can you imagine how less our lives would be without the internet? I still do go out and meet with closer proximity friends but not as often as with my sudoku buddies.

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Libya
and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved."
Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to More...

TM says that he is not a fan of British humor, but he did like the one about the French. Subtlety is lost on him.

Silly me. I procrastinated in ordering his Christmas present, and now I can't get his color or size. I guess there will be a lot of hooded insulated flannel shirts uncer the Christmas tree this year.

Mudd? What about Ichabod Mudd (That's Mudd with two dees!) from Jet Jackson the Flying Commando? TV series may have been called something else in the US.

A man sat down at a bar and ordered a drink. After awhile he heard a female voice say, “You’re very handsome.”
The man looked around and saw nobody nearby. He decided he was hearing things.
The voice then said, “I really like that jacket you’re wearing."
Again, he couldn't find the More...
