It seems that trying to make the sudoku last as long as possible is a satisfying pastime when other places on the web become frustrating.

Whew. Answers sent. Pretty nice of Peter to post them for Arachnid. Peter!
Caring for an elderly parent is not for the faint-hearted, as I'm sure many of you know. I certainly do. It's a wonderful thing you are doing, Arachnid. Please remember to care for yourself, too.

Good mAen, good people. I just slept a full night, did morning stuff then slept another 4-1/2 hours! I'm finally feeling caught up on sleep. Now I need to catch up on chores.

Now that my high school reunion is over, I have much less to do during the day. Yesterday, as I was wasting some time playing solitaire and doing sudokus here and elsewhere, I wondered for a moment what I used to do all day. Oh, yeah. Duh. My mother was fairly competent for a 94-year-old, but.. well.. she was 94.

My daughter Narrelle is still in coronary care as they are having trouble getting her fluid level down.

I hope Narrelle is soon back on her feet, Amelia. Take care.

All quiet around here...no gallumping or pouncing sounds.
21/Jun/18 8:35 AM

So I'll just amble quietly on past.

Amelia, sorry to hear that Narrelle is still in Coronary Care. Hope they get that fluid down soon. I'll be thinking of her and your family until she is well again.

Speaking about caring for older folk. My husband's step-father who has been living with his sister, had a fall yesterday and broke his leg. He is now in hospital. He is 90 in October, so this is a big worry for us all at his advanced age. We have known so many older folk, like my father, who didn't recover from a fall.

HalT's asleep. Wish I was. Hope Skye is. She's over the N Atlantic near the top of Greenland. Nearly halfway to Oslo. I hate it when they are over water and live flight data is impossible.

Have had a frustrating day trying to put a crocheted edge on the raw edge of a tea towel. Did one - different fabric - but the current one is defeating me!

And I am so patient when things don't go my way (not!).

My thoughts are running to embroidering on the edge and then picking up the stitches from there.

Oh well, I'm off to puzzle some more, but not sudoku this time.
