I have a feeling, our carreer to baseball stardom, is doomed in T-Ball. This evenings scrimage was canceled, because someone watered down the field, a child ran out, busted his tush, and parents were not happy. Personally, I could not tell that the field was wet and with the heat and this wind, it More...

Woke up this morning, and came out to the kitchen singing!
22/Apr/11 10:00 AM

Song went along the lines of:

I love my neighbour,
Oh yes I do,
Especially in the morn,
When gravel he strews.
If I could get to him,
His face would be blue,
Oh neighbour, I'd kill you!

Almost exactly a year ago, the neighbours started putting on an extension to their house. The far corner of it is bout 3m/10feet from my bedroom window. So, although I did talk to the guy about the fact that I do shiftwork, and sometimes sleep during the day, there has been no effort at all to take that into consideration.

So building materials etc have been delivered sometimes at 6am, and of course the trucks have to reverse in to unload the stuff, and they all have those lovely beeping noises connected to the reverse gear! Building is finished now, so the finishing touches are going on. That meams spreading gravel More...

Gee CP, can we start a new conversation on "How to Rid of a Body" again?

Oh, CP, if only I was that smart, I would have started the watering yesterday and forgot to it off, so the feild would have been flooded today.

CP, how's hubby today?

Bit excited today. My sister from Sydney will be dropping in around lunch time. She and her hubby drove down yesterday, stopping overnight in Bright to break up the trip. Having family spread all over the country sucks sometimes...other times it can be very handy!

Oh me Karen, you took my comment as being somewhat sarcastic. On the contrary, I found the "Hide the Body" thread quite entertaining.

Tell me about it, Gail. I've got a brother in Fort Worth TX, another in Houston, and another on Long Island NY. Barbara has a sister in Sprngfield MO. And our dauthters live in Charlotte NC and Panama City FL (recently moved from Phoenix AZ).

HalT, when you come to Texas, I am smack in the middle of your siblings. One is 2 1/2 hours that way and the other is 3 hours the other way, so maybe not exactly the middle.

Between 18th and 21st April there were 10 Japanese significant (M≥5) aftershocks. The only one of them that posed an immediate threat occurred on 21st April at about 1:37 pm (UTC). Of M6.1, its epicentre was close to; being 40 miles east of;, Tokyo. The quake caused More...

Oh, oh, todays movie, was the husband attempting to get rid of the wife. He failed. The husband hired a hit man, who followed the wife around for a while, during which time he fell in love with her. When the time came to get rid of her, the hit man could not do it. So the wife and the hit man More...

I found Eve's comments on Hollywood Squares funny, but I know that Paul Lynde was being fed lines. I saw a show on E! about him and was incredulous about 5-10 years ago now, and checked it out. The truth: writer's wrote every single one of his jokes. He was a great actor but troubled man. When More...

Oh, the drama.
Anyone out there ever have T-Ball issues. Seems the new coach, was turned in tonight, because she canceled practice and of course we did not have that scrimage game. This is a wonderful lady, which she and I, both agree, we have been sent back to high school. Before the scrimage More...

Karen, really trying to get my head around this on. Are you saying you are meant to practice on Easter Friday? Isn't that sacrilegious or something? These are kids having fun aren't they?

Broni, it is such a mess. I have heard of too much parent involvement in little league baseball, I never dreamed, it would happen in T-Ball, in the first 3 weeks of the season. Except for 3 or 4 of us that are not related to anyone, it is the ones related to each other that are causing the most More...

There is politicking going on in everything, especially those events that are supposed to be fun! That is why I learnt to say 'No' a long time ago, because I was not the right sort of person to go on committees etc, because I refused to backstab!

Gail, I said no to committee, but yes to being an involved parent. If Thing I was having fun, just a little bit, I would say, lets give it one more try, but cannot see that happening. I do see us trying again, but maybe not in this district. I can see the fun in the sport, if you are there to play More...

CP How is your other half. When he is feeling better give him a short sharp clip on the back of his head for not letting you know when the pains first started.

I woke my husband 1 year ago at 2.30am with severe chest pain and he said to wake him again if it didn't go away in an hour. Needless to say he knew that it was a stupid thing to say as he rolled over to go back to sleep. I was in the ED by 3.00am having treatment - for a ruptured Gall Bladder. Not so life threatening as the alternative but better safe than sorry.
