John, did you see my message on your personal page?
I've finally caught up on laundry, etc. after our trip to Michigan. And we have compiled all our pics from two cameras and two cell phones into one folder on our home PC's. Technology is nice, but it sure does More...

The thing about film that we miss is printed pictures. Lynne used to enjoy making albums, but doesn't do that any more because we seldom get around to printing out any pictures. She used to consider scrapbooking a really fun hobby. Not any more.

Looks very similar to a surfing beach and lighthouse north of Santa Cruz in California.

Hubby and I are going to take a short trip up the coast on Highway 1 while grandie is in Arizona with his other grandmother. It's relaxing just taking off to walk along the beaches up to Monterey Bay.

Shosho, one of the many things in my bucket list is to take a drive up state highway 1 again. The last time was in 1962 (or '63) from Monterey to San Luis Obispo. Quite possibly the most beautiful scenery in the world.

The mention of California Hwy 1, set me off on a 15 minute 'virtual tour'. I have driven most of it at one time or another, but, it's been a while.

Highway 101 in Oregon and Washington has similarly scenic views.

Very cool, Serena.

I've driven all of Hwy 1, from Tiajuana to the Canadian border ... not all on the same trip, but that would be fun to do if you had the time. Many stunningly beautiful areas all along the way.

Just did a little research. Through California, Hwy 1 runs along the coast, 101 a bit more inland, except when they are congruent. Apparently, through Oregon and Washington, Hwy 1 doesn't exist, and 101 is the coastal highway, so, when I was thinking about from Mexico to Canada, I was thinking More...

Yes, it hasn't gotten hot yet. But hey, 80's is getting there for me. We have a comfy 70's most of the year. It just gets uncomfortable about late September to early October. But after suffering summers on the eastern coast and worst yet in Arizona, I will not complain.

I love the beach and we usually have a picnic dinner just to watch the sunset. But a couple of times I've seen sun rise over the beach, too. I was back east for that, though.

Hubby and I are so used to being near the mountain range and beach that it was surprising to see neither back east. I can't imagine not being able to drive to either within the hour. But I've yet to see the prairie in mid US. Imagine just seeing flat land from horizon to horizon, spooky!

I started mowing the lawn and the sky opened up on me. It's really not supposed to rain this much in July in Kentucky.

Dear Kathy from Valrico,
Please do a backup of that picture folder. Just buy a dedicated flashdrive, plug it in and do a copy and paste just before retireing for the night. By the time you wake up it will be all done.

Earlier in the week, I had this thought, 'Hummm, it has been forever since I have had potato skins.'
When will I ever learn to not have thoughts. Well, certain thoughts, I still think of winning the lottery, but as yet, that has not happened. Finacially, anyway.
Thinking of going out to eat, More...
