Hal & Mr. Cee - could it be that "two" dimes would be spelled paradigms and "two" bulls would be spelled parables?

Time to get dressed for my 9 AM league tennis match. Have to play against old friends from another club today. NOT looking forward to it. They'll be mad when we beat them like we did last time (I hope!)

Recipe for the Perfect Cuppa....

Experts tell us that the best way to make a perfect cup of tea is to agitate the bag.

So, every morning I shout,

'Two sugars, fat arse!'

Hello, John! How are you doing?
23/Feb/12 12:33 AM
 |  |

I saw the Amish plowing their fields in Northern Indiana one spring using 6 (or was it 8?) horses abreast. Impressive!
23/Feb/12 12:36 AM
 |  |

Meg, that horse was one result of laboratory experiments cross-mixing the DNA of racehorses and emus. The goal was to create a faster type animal. (By the way, if you think this product is unusual, you should see the next version.. it hatched with wings! You really don't want to be standing below it when it flies overhead either.)

Are these considered Clydesdales in Australia?
23/Feb/12 12:59 AM

Yes, Jeanine, they are Clydesdales here.

It appears that Fiona has been sent to the Naughtie corner again today as she was yesterday. There is something in the Para answers the hallmonitor or net nanny or whatever doesn't like. Did it to me yesterday as well.
23/Feb/12 1:47 AM
 |  |

Mind you that will teach her for poor marking skills.
23/Feb/12 1:48 AM
 |  |

In that case, I must have gotten one wrong, as all of my answers were accepted by the hall monitor.

Oh, and a to all.

everyone!

What a kerfuffle about that poozle's answers! I didn't get kicked off when I sent mine to Fiona, so I will attempt to post them AFTER I finish my morning chores.

The answers can be sent in a private message just not posted on the main page.

The answer(S) to yesterday's poozle: attitude adjustment, change of attitude, sort out your attitude, attitude is everything.
See? I'm still the kinder, gentler grader!

Speaking of attitudes....winners Jack, Grass-hopper, Greg, HalT, Jane, Sue and Mr. Cee are invited to More...

Your puzzle is an easy one, Mr Cee. But you made a mistake, Hal didn't think that he was entitled to $10 more than Cee. He figured that Cee should get $10!

BTW, my answer was "par a pets" also.
