Hugh from Canberra - Thanks for the movie recommendation - I saw Kenny tonight. It was hilarious and the ending was a classic!
 |  |
Easy today, although in my haste, I goofed once! Must be preoccupied!

Good mAen, muggy day here today, we could do with some rain to clear the air.

I still HAD my Barbies, but my girls destroyed them. I do have some books that are in pretty bad shape, but I won't part with them. The kids all read them. We had some games and such, but most of those are gone now.

Yes, Crystal, I still have my Teddy bear who is 56 years old, my doll which is 50 yrs old and all my books from my childhood. But we didn't have a fraction of the things children have now, so I have been able to keep my things plus a few other things. My family tell me I'm a hoarder, one of the worst.

Good maeN all.

Look at my cheeks.

Hugh, thinking about your granddaughter and wishing her the best. May it go well.

Sorry, haven't seen the ''Oceans'' movies, not a collector. I do have some of the things crystal mentioned. The one worth mentioning is the book ''The Pokey Little Puppie'' which was my favorite as a wee one (shush Judy) and which I thouroughly enjoy reading to my grandsons.

2:22 I still have my teddy but the growl has gone. I have kept all my kids teeth - that's normal isn't it?

What a lovely day yesterday was. I got very short notice to to work, and didn't get to let CP know until lunchtime. She and her mum drove up from Townsville instead of me driving there. CP, your mum is just the loveliest lady, and it was such a pleasure to meet you. My kids polished off the rest of More...

2:29, pb, Good Maen. Didn't have a lot of attachment to my toys but I've kept a fair number of my kids toys. Seemed to have liked their childhood better than my own!

Good Maen everyone.

Angry Ant, congratulations on the safe arrival of baby Ava. You're not going to be like Lisa of Toronto and Mickey - too busy to post after having a baby, are you? Just joking, most of us still have vivid memories of how a new baby fills every waking moment, and turns many sleeping moments into More...

September is coming up fast....what was the name of the book some of you were planning on reading? Two out of three children will be back in school soon (only 10 more days!)

Good Maen everyone. I have a few toys from my childhood. A few dolls, a truck, my Barbie dolls, and some hardcover books. (Nancy Drew, etc.) I have shared some of these things with my children as they grew up.
 |  |
I still have my first 'stuffed animal', a once-pink polkadot giraffe -- and the baby picture of me with it. A red wood 'pull' elephant on now-wobbly wheels and assorted other animal friends. Quite a few books: Moonie Mouse is the oldest. Some dolls, but I lost my favourite, Madame Alexander's Alice More...

I pointed out to CP the local hotel (since rebuilt)that has been immortalised in Slim Dusty's classic song 'The Pub With no Beer', after it was drunk dry during WWII by American soldiers, only to find out that her mum's hometown also claims to have the original pub. Google said that a poem 'A Pub More...

I was called Woggie as a child because I could not say my own name - which doesn't sound anything like Woggie. I still have my teddie called Bimbo which my children played with, and an old Barbie doll which they did not. Boys - I gave it to them but they were not interested. I have put it aside for my grandchildren along with some far more interesting toys the boys used. k'nex - way more fun.
