Cyndi - Have I asked you before what city in SC you live in? You are right that Thanksgiving gets little notice & that's probably because the retailers don't make much money off of it. I like Thanksgiving because it requires shopping only for food, no buying of gifts or sending bunches of cards or major decorating (& even worse, undecorating!). It's a lot less work & more enjoyment.

I am really surprised at this article. A new music center was just built in our County on the Parkway explaining the history of music to that area. They have an ampitheater, a small movie room and a museum. If you ever get up in that area, check it out. Take the Fancy Gap exit off of I-77. Get on the Parkway and go West about 10 to 12 miles. It is worth seeing.
