And the fun continues..... A spoonerism is a pair of words that can have their initial sounds switched to form new words. This joke has been around awhile, but it still makes me chuckle! A man walks out to the street and catches a taxi just going by. He gets into the taxi, and the cabbie says, "Perfect timing. You're just like Frank." Passenger: "Who?" Cabbie: "Frank More... 24/Feb/10 6:48 AM |  |

Don't know how many out there watched the ice dancing last night, but the Canadians and the Americans were both fantastic.... and so young. Too funny, Greg! (and too true!) I did watch the ice dancing and thought the Americans were fantastic ...then I watched the Canadians! WOW! You're right, they both deserved their medals. And how very classy they all were. Refreshing. 24/Feb/10 7:48 AM |  |
Simple today Kathy, so answer sent.... but I really don't want to take any sh*t (sorry, I meant guano) from you. Give it to someone else, or keep it to yourself. 24/Feb/10 7:50 AM |  |
 As I said, Greg....you deserve it. 24/Feb/10 8:03 AM |  |
Oh, how I identify with that list, Greg. 24/Feb/10 8:13 AM |  |
I realise I haven't clued everyone in - I have been off work for 3 weeks now. I'm having problems with nerve pain and numbness running down my right arm from an irritated nerve at the base of my neck. Still off until next week. I have a MRI scheduled for Friday, that may tell a story and give answers for the future. 24/Feb/10 8:17 AM |  |
That said, the pain and numbness have been better for the last several days, although indulging in enthusiastic applause for Cliff Richard on Sunday was not a good idea. 24/Feb/10 8:21 AM |  |
Today is quilting group and lunch day, lots of chatting and not much stitching for me. 24/Feb/10 8:22 AM |  |
The really sad outcome of all this is that I had to cancel an applique class for this weekend that I signed up for (first person on the list) back in November!!!!But, the same teacher is coming back in September and I have transferred my booking until then, gives me 6 months, by which time I hope my neck will be much better. 24/Feb/10 8:24 AM |  |
I'm sorry, CP. How frustrating to miss the class. Hopefully in 6 months you will be pain free and able to participate. I had a pinched nerve once and the pain meds I took made me goony, well, goonier anyway. I hope your not having that problem too. 24/Feb/10 8:39 AM |  |
The world is just getting too complex for me. They even mess me up every time I go to the grocery store. You would think they could settle on something themselves but this sudden "Paperor Plastic?" every time I check out just knocks me for a loop. I bought some of those cloth reusable More... 24/Feb/10 8:58 AM |  |
 Love it, Kathy! 24/Feb/10 9:19 AM |  |
I just read your bag response to my husband, and, after he stopped laughing, he said, "Yeah, the kids might give her a blank stare at the time ... but I'll bet they have a LOT to say about her once she leaves the store!" 24/Feb/10 9:36 AM |  |
"There goes the bag lady!" "The bag lady has left the building!" Off to fix dinner...Bye 24/Feb/10 10:01 AM |  |
CP - Sorry to hear about your nerve pain. I have something similar (on a smaller scale). I get occasional nerve pain in my right arm, mostly in the shoulder, when I move my arm the "wrong" way. I'm hoping the weight work I'm doing in aerobics is helping. It hurts to lift and work with More... 24/Feb/10 10:10 AM |  |
