Laid down for what I thought was a much needed rest with M. She instantly fell asleep, and I thought I was on my way, but the voices, in my head started yakking and would not stop. So, got back up and started pretending to do things again.

Another cool front has come in, I hope it does not get much colder, because all jackets and extra blankets are packed.
Really, hate to unpack the jackets, again.

Though, if memory is working correctly, I think last year, I waited till the end of June, before I decided we would no longer More...

HI all! Having a back crisis here...has anyone had their hip stick right out to the side because they can't straighten their back up? Yes, I know, I look really stupid and can't walk straight! Doc says I need to be 'manipulated'...I am wondering if this 'manipulation' is going to hurt more than I hurt at the moment..keep tuned!

Last night I had a strange urge to put away my winter clothes and take out my summer ones. Repacked the storage bins with the sweaters, long sleeves, and sweater/woolen dresses and repacked the drawers with short sleeves, shorts, and hung the light weight dresses.

Hi, Fiona.

I always dreaded the moment my chiropractor would straighten my neck. It always felt that he was going to break my neck. It was a sharp quick move. But afterwards my head felt as if it was loosely connected to my neck and swiveled around easily. Of course I would feel very loose jointed all More...

Fiona, obviously you need a new sofa with more support.

Seriously, I've never been to a chiropractor, but from what I've heard from friends who have, it is well worth the initial discomfort in the long run.
Although, my DIL was sent to one when she actually needed surgery on More...

No envy here, Fiona, I have been walking strangely for the last 3 weeks. Mine maybe more stress related, since it seems to only hurt when Man is around. He is stressing me lately.

Mr. Cee was/is in the same predictiment.

Because I am one of those people who are near death, or about to give birth, to go to the doctor, I have been enjoying the heating pad, warm showers, though the one time, I soaked in the bath felt really good and during the day, that wonderful smelling creams. But never, never, ever put those creams on after you get out of shower. Just saying.

At least once a week, I look at the weather for the week. This week had one day, that was going to be 64. No problem.
Humph. We are now in the low 50's, and same for tomorrow. This is not short weather, which I have left unpacked.

Fiona, et al:
I will swear by the benifits of using a chiropractor. I threw my back and hip out years ago. The problem was related to a car accident when I was hit (on my bicycle) by a car. When the back problem happened, I missed almost 5 months of work. I was told I needed to have surgey to More...

By the way, the car accident happened when I was 15, and my back went out while I was bowling many, many years later. I still have some mobility/bending issues, but all is good.

Poor Fiona, back problems are no fun, but I,too, have found chiropractic helpful.

Good morning every one. I started seeing a chiropractor when my back first played up. I went for ages with minimal improvement. Personally was not the right treatment for me. Have been going to the physiotherapist for ages and although I still have big problems I am greatly improved. I think you More...

But still doing a happy dance this morning. At the time I promised myself to do the dreaded house work, I thought I'd have a quick peek over the back gate to see what was lurking in the paddock.

The whole family of wedge-tailed eagles were eating another kill. Rushed back and grabbed my camera, again wishing I had greater range.

Have posted a few new pics I grabbed this morning. The Tasmanian Wedge-tailed Eagle is a massive bird, standing over a metre tall, weighing up to 5 kg, and with a wing span of up to 2.2 m. Absolutely awesome. I feel so privileged to have them so close.

OK I have had a pretty good solo run. Must hit the house work button, cos there's only so long that you can put it off.

OOoooh, what a delightful dinner! I made wonton soup with all the fresh veggies I bought at farmers market today! The baby bok choy, the watercress, the daikon (white radish) sprouts, and the shiso (perilla) leaves. Wow!

Of course, I used frozen ready made gyoza dumplings. I know argh! but do you know how labor intensive making gyoza is? Long ago the only way to have gyoza was to either go to a Japanese restaurant or make it from scratch yourself. That's an all day affair! Thank heavens, for ready made stuff!

Just imagine having to make bread from scratch, that's a 3 hour job! I know, I make whole wheat bread once a week.

Had my ears tested yesterday, at my wife's insistence.

Mild to moderate deterioration but don't need hearing aids.....just yet.

Domestic deafness......what a wonderful skill.

Oh bother don't be like my hubby - selective deafness! Drives me crazy! The 'What? What? What? You don't have to shout!' The volume of my voice and my blood pressure go up with these incidents!
