G'day mates. Here's today's daffynition:
Stalemate - A leading cause of divorce.

...and here's today's factoid:
In Japan, visitors can write their divorce wishes on a piece of paper and flush them down the toilet in the Mantokuji

Temple. The temple was traditionally a refuge for women seeking to escape an unhappy marriage.

Quick in and out for me today. I managed to finagle 3 hours of kid free time so I need to use my time management skills.

Hi shosho

For today:
Take the given words, and by moving a single letter from one word to the other, make a pair of synonyms, or near synonyms. For example, given: Boast - Hip, move the 's' from 'Boast' to 'Hip' creating two synonyms: Boat - Ship.

1. Eat - Fact
2. Fist - More...

Good night one and all. Just had a relaxing bath after some hard badminton games tonight. There have been some young guys playing who are very good and it seems to pick the tempo of the games up a lot. Can't let them run all over us oldies, can we???

Ditching rearranging of the boxes today. Step-dad is coming for the weekend, so time to polish up. Would you believe, just in the mere 3 weeks we have been here, webs have had the silly thought that they can move in too. Silly webs. There are silly dust bunnies too. Now, I know I did not pack More...

Good Morning, everyone! What excitement - first page. I rarely come here in the morning, usually arrive when there are many pages of comments. Now I will have to return later to read the nonsense of the day.

Good morning all. I just read your itinerary, Anne. I'm envious!!!

Kathy/V I'm so glad to see you posting again - and doubly glad that Rob is doing so well.

Harvest has started! Let the moods begin! Yesterday, TM mired the combine in a mudhole in the field. I'm glad I have been retired because I am too rough on the equipment! I wondet if it is the same place where I dug up dirt a couple of years ago?

He was using the power washer to clean off the combine. I asked him if I could use it to wash off my car when he was done. I went to get the car. He finished, then turned it off. When he had to come help turn it back on, he muttered 'I don't know why she had to come bother us.' For $5000, I will go away.

Canuk Greg, according to my sources, you said ''The one's in my life'' or ''Once in my life.'' I'm filing that under close but not exact because there is no 4.

It is a very surreal picture today. I like it very much - in the way the strange tree is highlighted against the extensive sombre background.
