Hi Anne. Love my Brown Brothers Port.
But the one I am drinking at the moment is Wolf Blass, Red Label.
Of course I am a big wuss, I mix it with lemonade or I would not be able to prepare the evening meal. Lol
I also live in Port too which is nice.

I purchased a voucher for him to have a manual (stick shift) driving leasson. He was not keen on that idea, but we finally got it arranged for a time that suited him, this afternoon. He came home and told me there had been an emergency situation with one of his friends that required his attention More...

I find it fascinating that learning to drive doesn't include what you call stick shift - manual gears- to us. I would have thought it should be compulsory.

Yes it is a bit ridiculous GannieMo.
My son learnt in an auto. So he has been on a red P plate. Now that a year has passed he goes onto his green P plates and can drive either.
But now he will need some lessons to drive a manual.

My son and Daughter were taught how to drive in a "1986 ford Falcon XF Panelvan" Three speed manual on the colum wit no side rear windows and no power steering. Mean Dad but now they can drive anything.

Try to imagine if you will a petite 18yr old teenage girl trying to lug a fully loaded Tradies Van around town with Dad trying to teach her how to merge.

Question for our Yankee friends.

In the US I understand that youngsters learn to drive at school (Part of the curriculum - correct me if I'm wrong).

In Aus they learn after they leave school and they are high on the list of accident More...

New Rule: Stop giving me that pop-up ad for Classmates.com! There's reason you don't talk to people for 25 years. Because you don't particularly like them! Besides, I already know what the captain of the football team is doing these days: mowing my lawn.

New Rule: Don't eat anything that's served to you out a window unless you're a seagull. People are acting all shocked that a human finger was found in a bowl of Wendy's chili. Hey, it cost less than a dollar. What did you expect it to contain? Trout?

New Rule: If you need to shave and you still collect baseball cards, you're gay. If you're a kid, the cards are keepsakes of your idols. If you're a grown man, they're pictures of men.

New Rule: Ladies, leave your eyebrows alone. Here's how much men care about your eyebrows: do you have two of them? Okay, we're done.

New Rule: There's no such thing as flavored water. There's a whole aisle of this stuff at the supermarket - water, but without that watery taste. Sorry, but flavored water is called a soft drink. You want flavored water? Pour some scotch over ice and let it melt. That's your flavored water.

Today in summary............

Easy – That’s one fat platypus.

Vibrant Vici – The Moth is enjoying the autumn at her place.

CP – Daughter has arrived, sans baggage.

DevilOrAngel – Thinks CP’s posts are akin to a Burma Shave advert.

Sarah – Check out her ‘Images of Raguenes’. I like the mermaid.

I think I like Mr Cee's rules. No... I *know* I like them - esp. the one about eyebrows.
28/Sep/11 9:49 PM

No, I don't want to be Queen Fiona, Mr Cee - one on the site is more than enough - it's like saying your puzzles are better than mine, which they're not, or you get more correct answers than I do, which you don't! I'll just stick with being Top Best Riddle girl Number 1. You have to be modest in this world.

Next she'll be telling us her modesty is only exceeded by her good looks.
