I have posted a picture of my mountain band in my photo gallery. I was a little disappointed because it is very clear, but it is a copy of a copy.

Noemi:

Checked out your slideshows - very good. The one I loved the best was Resignation. Can I join you? I will be sharing it with friends.

Good afternoon to all! I don't recall seeing this photo before, but the young girl looks familiar. Anyone we've met before?

Eve, I tell my kids alot more than my parents told me. I was raised so completely sheltered that when I went away to college, I was ill prepared to function in the real world. I had never made my own doctor appt, never interviewed for a job, never went to the bank alone.... heck, I never even More...

I think each generation in history worries about this and each successive generation seems to survive. They just will have different "good old days" memories.
But people will even survive not-so-happy, unsheltered childhoods and end up with very happy lives. Sometimes even "ideal" childhoods don't guarantee happy adults. In other words, there's more to it than that.

2:25 Hi to all.

Thought for the Day:

A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes.

Good one André

I help my kids create memories by getting them involved in lots of sport/activities. I figure they'll remember their days at gymnastics/bowling/baseball/soccer/netball/singing lessons/etc far more fondly than they would playing with an Xbox or Playstation. And the days of playing on the street seem to be long over. I limit their access to the news, though less now that they are getting older.

Got kicked out again! I now have to log in every time, and often have to log in all over again! I must have set one of my security things to a weird setting as it isn't related to my posts - can happen just going from one page to the next.

Suzy, I have had to log inevery time for the last couple of days. Thought it was because I changed computer.

As nearly always is the case, I like André's sentiment for the day. It carries much truth. However, as a proviso, it is possible for persistent adverse cirumstances to affect a person's attitudes.

Folks: if you clean-up by deleting cookies, you will need to log in each time. Maybe there is an automatic deletion of them occurring in your settings.

Mo, why do you need 4 pairs of shoes? A couple of years ago we did around the world for 6 weeks and I had one pair on my feet and one in my bag.

Rayray, I've been deleting cookies for a couple of years now and it has never affected me before. I don't think I have automatic deletion - that's one thing I thought of and ran a scan which found cookies not deleted. Maybe it was one of those automatic update things.

Angie -

Being raised in a parochial school, the one thing we didn't learn was how to choose our friends - all of my classmates were my friends - none were "bad" kids.

So when I started high school in the 9th grade, I made friends with those that were warm and welcoming. More...

Debby - I am, but it's the same one I've been using for a couple of years. Those dreaded automatic updates ..... could they be the villain??? I've just turned it off and will wait and see if I get kicked off again - it would be the 4th time this morning...
