Had so much fun with the first graders on solids turning into liquid and vice versa! Put a small bag of water into an icy briny water and had the kids make their predictions and then shake and pass the jar around. When we all had a chance to shake to jar, I pulled out the small bag. It was frozen solid! Kids were thoroughly awed! 29/Mar/14 5:12 AM |  |
Just got home. Didn't miss it by much. 29/Mar/14 5:13 AM |  |
Then I pour melted candle wax onto a slip of paper and pretended to nearly trip. That got the kids scrambling to avoid drippy wax. But by then it had solidified! Their teacher and I had a good laugh. It took the kids a while but once they got it, the room was filled with raucous laughter. 29/Mar/14 5:15 AM |  |
Oooh, sorry, Keith, I should have waited the five minutes! 29/Mar/14 5:16 AM |  |
