Smokey, a gray tabby is in the Guinness Book of World Records as having the loudest purr of any domestic cat - equivalent to the noise of a lawnmower.

Ever wondered if Guinness gives itself a record for having a list of the 'most world records'?!?

I've got a black kitten, 3.5 months old, who when being picked up will twist around so that he can hug your neck and purr very loudly directly into your ear! Would that qualify as a loud purr?

Hi Vici! My house was once clean, didn't have to do much to keep it clean because only had the one elderly cat and no small children. But now, with the two kittens plant pots are knocked over, dirt in and on the carpet, and toys, things dragged all over, you end up stepping on something!

Today's pic. Mt Hood, Oregon. View of the S.E. face of the mountain, taken near Timberline Lodge. 'Crater Rock' in the center of the blown out caldera, is the clincher. I climbed the mountain, somewhat over 50 years ago.

Amelia, At 11,243 feet high, if memory serves, Mt Hood has snow year 'round. And there are 12 glaciers.

Hello everyone!
Hope you had/are having a great weekend. We went up-the-River on Friday afternoon - busy Pacific Hwy & freeway - school holiday time! Great when we finally got to the house. Had fun watching the continuous stream of lights head north on the Hawkesbury River Bridge/freeway! So pretty but distant enough so we couldn't hear the traffic noise!!

Time to catch up with the weekend jigsaws!

Greg, I must apologise for being MIA as far as the poozles are concerned. I have been trying, but I just can't seem to think through the haze of the really bad cold/flue I have had.

Top-siders, get your 'flu shots now, if you haven't yet, that is. This one is a doozie, & hangs around for about 2 - 3 months. (yes I did say months)

Looks like it is slow here today. I am at my daughter's place. She is having a new front fence replaced. Needed to keep the horses from getting out. I will stop here with Laura for a few days as she loves being with the animals.
