Today's Easy was a slow start, too. But the reward was worth it! 04/Sep/17 12:23 AM |  |
After finishing I got to see a photo of a koala AND a Wombat avatar. 04/Sep/17 12:24 AM |  |
woo hoo! I recognised that photo as soon as I saw it. It's one of my favourites 04/Sep/17 12:25 AM |  |
 Hullo, Keith. 04/Sep/17 12:25 AM |  |
And Chayote. Chayote, is there a story about your name? 04/Sep/17 12:27 AM |  |
A very dull story, Plum. I have a friend in Texas who was trying to explain a vegetable that she grows in her garden. I suggested it sounded like a choko but she disagreed, saying it was a chayote. It took a google search to discover we were talking about the same vegetable, different name. See? ...told you it was a dull story... *LOL* 04/Sep/17 12:38 AM |  |
No duller than the story behind Plum. Anyway, I like fruity botanical names. And I just took a look at what Wikipedia has to say about chayote. Fascinating to learn how well it has taken to Australia and what a useful and healthy plant it is. 04/Sep/17 12:54 AM |  |
So why did you choose it as a name? 04/Sep/17 12:56 AM |  |
Wombat - before I disappear for the day, check your inbox for my 1&3 solution. What's next after 1&3s? 04/Sep/17 1:42 AM |  |
Love the photo today! Koalas are such adorable animals who wouldn't love them. 04/Sep/17 2:00 AM |  |

 Good afternoon to all! A cute photo. 04/Sep/17 3:06 AM |  |
Hope no one takes offense.... An avid golfer was involved in a terrible car crash and was rushed to the hospital.Just before he was put under, the surgeon popped in to see him. 'I have some good news and some bad news,' says the surgeon. 'The bad news is that I have to remove your right More... 04/Sep/17 3:15 AM |  |
 No offence taken Greg. 04/Sep/17 4:22 AM |  |

I'm glad you got your 22 Keith, I did have a chance to grab it but now I'm glad I waited. 04/Sep/17 8:28 AM |  |
Yes Plum it has arrived. It is very astute of you to notice that we have completed the alphabet for 1&3. We have also completed the alphabet for fore and aft, so that is 52 poozles, or a full year's worth. What's next? I have been running through various possibilities in my mind, and 1&4 seems a goer.. 04/Sep/17 8:34 AM |  |
It would be something like this:A - - A Capital of Maryland ADEB - - B Watery balloon POLISC - - C Waterfall LE AS NN UB Do you think it would work? 04/Sep/17 8:46 AM |  |
Wombat, your 1&4 idea sounds great. We can try it to see if we like it, but what's not to like? You do all the hard work, and we have all the fun! 04/Sep/17 12:14 PM |  |
Here are the results of last Saturday's puzzle. The only mistake was mine, Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet, not a tussock. A tuffet is a clump of vegetation (rather like a tussock) or a low stool. Sorry. The unfazed Poozlers were Judy, Chalkboard, Amelia, Plum, Sarah, Lonewoof, Joyce and More... 04/Sep/17 3:11 PM |  |
As I posted earlier, that is the last of the 1&3 puzzles. I have constructed a 1&4 poozle for Saturday, but I'm not sure how long I will be able to continue. 04/Sep/17 3:15 PM |  |
Happy to see Greg back. Always love to read his comments. 05/Sep/17 3:38 AM |  |
