Morning Judy - missed you yesterday, were you ill? Site was quieter than usual. 05/May/07 12:10 AM |  |
2:15, plie's tell me who the ballerina is. Hopefully the sun today will dry up the grass so the son can mow the yard, he has 3 to mow tonight and tomorrow. Yesterday he went to his first singing competition where he has a chance of earning scholarship money for college. There were 5 tenors trying for 3 slots: \$500, \$700, or \$1,000; not much but it's a start. He'll know in a week or two. 05/May/07 12:13 AM |  |
 Lovely picture of Wonderful Ballerina.Good Luck. 05/May/07 12:13 AM |  |
Thanks, HUGH ... I think! Nah, just busy! I'm sorry that your team is not headed to the finals. 05/May/07 12:16 AM |  |

everyone, back to work for me! 05/May/07 12:29 AM |  |
Bill, with your son both mowing yards and entering singing competitions to earn money for college, he's already off to a great start. It's good to see young people with the initiative to help themselves get ahead. Best wishes to him, and let us know how he gets on. 05/May/07 12:33 AM |  |
Yeah LK, like we really believe you!! :o) 05/May/07 12:34 AM |  |
Well, Robyn came home yesterday for the summer. She will go back up to Gainesville in August when she moves into an apartment with three friends. If anyone was planning on sending her any more cards or letters you might want to hold off until August. Next task is to kick her out of the house to get a summer job! 05/May/07 12:36 AM |  |
 Robyn can't work for Papa, GLENN? 05/May/07 12:40 AM |  |
So serious in her practice. 05/May/07 12:40 AM |  |
Good Friday Maen, all! Ahhchooo! Time to take the allergy medicine... 05/May/07 12:44 AM |  |
Mornin', Keith! All ready for your spectacular trip? 05/May/07 12:48 AM |  |
Son #1 came home from uni today green with envy. Well heeled local just bought his son a WRX -about \$50 000? - complete with \$4000 stereo. The stereo cost more than the car my son bought himself from his part time job held while at school. The son is 17 and still at school. The car has way more More... 05/May/07 12:49 AM |  |
I was gone one day, what did I miss? Keith, where are you headed to now? 05/May/07 12:56 AM |  |
Now i've got that out of my system...Hugh I am so very sorry our boys played like carp (sp?), I tried yelling at them but they would not listen...the Blues defence was More... 05/May/07 12:57 AM |  |
Something that astounded me in Australia, Susan, was the number of young people killed out on the roads. We were staying in Denmark WA just before Christmas 3 years ago when a lad of 15 took his mothers keys and took her car to be one of the lads. He never came home, just wrapped mum's car around a More... 05/May/07 1:00 AM |  |
Billy, but was the restaurant good? Or didn't you get as far as food? 05/May/07 1:01 AM |  |
thanks for your commiserations and sympathy too Hugh and emels, emels it felt sincere? you want to join us next year and have the Force be with you? 05/May/07 1:01 AM |  |
Mo - didn't make the restaurant...things conspired against me and by the time the game started I was reduced to chips and a half of a cheese/salad sarnie...woeful I know, especially as I said to my friend 'I can't taste the chicken in this'. 05/May/07 1:06 AM |  |
Billy - the Force did well this year and so they should've with all their Brumby trained players. I think they'll be even better next year. Feel free to beat anyone but the Brumbies. Oh! and there are extra points if you can give it to the Waratahs. 05/May/07 1:24 AM |  |
 After this one - 18 shifts to go. WooooooHooooo! 05/May/07 1:25 AM |  |
Exactly GrannieMo, and in most of these accidents the driver is male (although that one you mention was too young to be licenced). If an over 18 buys such a car without needing permission/money from parents, I can understand, since many think they're the best drivers in the world so could never More... 05/May/07 1:27 AM |  |
2:17 Uh-oh. I said the S-word yesterday and it happened. Yes, I am talking about snow. 6:00 pm yesterday and again this morning, it's still snowing. I put some pics of it on flickr last night. Have a great day everyone. 05/May/07 1:29 AM |  |
Susan/Ingham: my son just got his driver's license last year. He had been campaigning for a WRX ('You know Subarus are good cars, Mom, you have a Forester'). His older cousin's boyfriend (about 27) drives a WRX and told my son that it was 'too much' for a new driver to handle. More... 05/May/07 1:40 AM |  |

 2:18; what an elegant ballerina! 05/May/07 2:02 AM |  |
I don't think we have Nissan Sentras here Aileen, but even if we do, I've never heard of them. I know the young males love WRXs. Hubby picked our son's car, it was a real bargain, but then my son didn't want to spend too much as it's left out in the weather all day and night when he's not home, and More... 05/May/07 2:04 AM |  |

Bill from Texas, I wish your son the best of luck that he get's all the scholarships he needs. I remember singing for my scholarships when I was planning for College many years ago. 05/May/07 2:35 AM |  |
