I'm still confused, Dave! I know that for roughly half the year the new Sudokuland day starts at 10 am EDT. It's still starting at 9 here, so that means either the Aussies haven't set their clocks back yet or the server hasn't figured it out yet!

So, anywho, what I want to know is, when does the final time change take place for the season?????

Kathy - thanks!! It's good to see green grass again instead of trenches. We love the phoenix too; we have a very clever local sculptor who collects odd bits of metal and welds them together.

7 AM my time ... 10 AM your time when it all settles out. Unless you live in one of those remote parts of Georgia, then it would be 9AM.

We are returned from the feast 6 hours of non stop eating and drinking polished off with pruneaux (prunes) that have been living in eau de vie for months - there is no other way to rehydrate your dried plums....you must excuse me whilst I go take a belated siesta (or two) I did take Canada Dry (and drink it) but there were other substances that needed to be tasted.... I will tell more later...

Sorry, Dave, but we are on daylight saving time here, and if Australia went off daylight saving time yesterday, the new Sudokuland day should be starting at 10 am EDT, but it started at 9 am here. Check CP's comment on page 1 regarding Gath not turning the clock back. It seems like I'm not the only one who noticed the error.

In any event, all this math has given me a headache. Perhaps a nice long bike ride will fix me up. Ciao!

The jigsaw today is very timely. The Sunday Washington Post Magazine has a cover story on the pandas at the National Zoo, "The Panda Paradox".

Hey Dave, I can take a break from packing every once in a while and peek in to see who's up to shenanigans.

People have been commenting that Gath moved the site to a server here in the states, and that might be having an influence on the time confusion. The whole thing is over my head.

Jane, we have gone off daylight savings but the sudoku clock has not been adjusted.

I knew I was ahead of myself but now I know it's by one hour. My how things can change in a month. We've moved from bushfires and cyclones to snow above 700 metres on Mount Wellington under which Hobart nestles (shivers). Looks beautiful provided you stay indoors and keep the heat pump on.

Mick, from Dublin , appeared on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' and towards the end of the program had already won 500,000 pounds.

Hello Dave - a very clever explanation of the time changes.
