We had about 1/2 inch of rain last evening. Only 1/2 inch but it was a slow rain so no flooding in our area. Now it is 65 degrees. Nice and cool.

What do you say to your next door neighbour whose 18 year old nephew was found by his father, hanging, dead. I cannot imagine the pain in this close knit family who for generations have lived in this and the next village. The whole village is stunned.

YesIterday was a busy day. Church, of course, in the morning then I sang with the Civil War Singers in the afternoon at the Land Between the Lakes Rec. area. We sang at The Home Place. IMe!t is a 1835 working farm. Interesting place to visit if you come to Middle Tennessee. We singers dress in More...

Strange day here. The temp. has dropped over 20 degrees and it's raining steadily. I can't enjoy it, tho' cause I'm running back and forth to the little room to worship the porcelain god. Bits of blood coming up.

GannieMo.... suicide? or ? I lost a 16 year old cousin that way. He was the only nice person in his family and it was a shock. I don't think that there is anything you can say, other than to lend then a shoulder to cry on.

Grief Heidi, I understood the visiting the porcelin throne, but the blood thing does not sound very good. That would scare me.

2.18. Amazing photo

GMo, I am so sorry to hear of your neighbour's, and the community's, loss, how very sad. Way too common these days, my 21 yo daughter recently went to the funeral of a friend who also took his own life. She said all she could feel while at the service is that it shouldn't be happening, and wanted to scream and run out of the funeral home.

Good Maen all. Sorry I'm late to post, but - you know what day it is. I wish all here a happy Labor Day holiday.. and yes, the rain finally came to WNC. So far it's steady and gentle, but predictions are for 2-4 inches today and 4-6 inches tomorrow.

Poor TM is going to be lost with out his right hand woman around.
Personally, if someone woke me up to get bales of hay, someone would be in major pain.

There was a person here who turned the showerhead, so when I reached in and turned the shower on, I got a very cold blast of air. I let him know that was not nice.
