Did anyone actually see Venus go across the sun?
Tried two ways to see the eclipse, but wasn't able to.

Tell me.... It's always wise to have your annual mammogram, but why do they think a screening method that still hurts the next day is a good method???

HI all! Still no word from Gath on the poozle /PM problem- should have told him there hasn't been a horoscope for a while either.
Nice day here today - my first dahlias, hypericums and day lilies all decided to open together.

My hubby actually saw Venus cross the sun. He ran into a group of amateur astronomers with their telescopes set up, and they let him join them and view the crossing. He is thrilled.

Does anyone here remember D-Day? I read all about it on wikipedia today. June 6, 1944. A day that will live in the memories of some of us.

A friend of a friend of mine was sitting on a lawn chair sunning himself and reading a magazine, when he was startled by a fairly late model car crashing through a hedge and coming to rest on his lawn.

He helped the elderly driver out and sat him on a lawn chair.

I enjoy it, Jerry, even if I don't agree with a lot of it. I like hearing other's opinions and learning from them. Life wood be bloody boring if we only heard and read things that agreed with us.
