today! Hopefully it'll stay that way!
We're supposed to get our driveway sealcoated today. They have already rescheduled twice. It's a two-day process and we have had rain almost every day since I can't remember when!

I would more than happy to take your rain, this solar power energy stuff is wearing me out. Remember my life ambition is to be a lazy person, it is not working with all this solar power radiating through.

My mother in Northern Michigan has had very little rain. I've tried to send some of our Southern Michigan rain up to her, but so far....

Never send your hubby out to trim the shrubs... Yesterday I came home and he was having a friend pull two stumps out with his pick-up!

Good morning everyone. Just a reminder for those who didn't see Lizzy G's post a couple of days ago - she and I have entered City2Surf in Sydney on 11 August and will be meeting up at Kirribilli at around 1pm on Saturday 10 August. If anyone's likely to be around that weekend it would be great to More...

Well, Shiela, that is something else I need. A shrub puller-upper.
I like Oleanders, in someone else's yard, not mine, and around the house we have several bushes.
On the front, I think they are alright, for now. On the patio, there are two, I do not want them there.
Now, in the past, we More...

Wow, Karen! That must have been one very tough shrib!
Friend broke his tow strap pulling out one of our shrubs and had to resort to a chain. Luckily it didn't harm his truck. These were 25 year-old overgrown Mugo pines. They needed to go, but I was planning on doing it in the fall when it would More...

shrib = shrub
(I've got a new program that substitutes letters to fool computer hackers on web sites and I have noticed that it sometimes does it when it's not supposed to! I type a line, look up and it's gibberish! Nice, huh?)

Sheila, my Husbands 'smart' phone auto corrects spelling. A while ago he texted that he was going to 'pat down the car'and there 'was a lion in my future'. I laughed for an hour.

I did wonder what a shrib was (not really). That's a great excuse. I'm gonna get me one of those programs.

Since when does letting a brainless machine do your thinking for you get called ''smart''?

Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th...finally cooled down a bit here.

My iPad's auto-correct feature is fairly invasive. I've learned to proof read it every phrase or so, go back, and redo all the assumptions it got wrong.

The real trick is to remember to do that before you hit send or submit or enter, depending on what program you're using.
07/Jul/13 1:24 AM
 |  |

Maybe, the real trick is to 'get a life' and think / type for yourself.
07/Jul/13 1:30 AM

I have disabled the auto-correct on my phone so now if I text gibberish it is my own darn fault.

I have been trying to understand the 'minds' (if that is what you call them) of those hackers who systematically destroy enjoymnent from simple desk-top games. What negative no-hopers they truly are. I use desk-top games as a catharsis after hard work. Now it is not a catharsis - it is just More...

She said: 'Yes, my daughter is sick. More...
