It's a holy war (jihad), about as old a reason for war as recorded history.
 |  |
It is an Arabic word the root of which is Jahada, which means to strive for a better way of life. The nouns are Juhd, Mujahid, Jihad, and Ijtihad. The other meanings are: endeavor, strain, exertion, effort, diligence, fighting to defend one's life, land, and religion.

Jihad should not be More...

Hugh, Ed just sent me some pictures of, Shikia and her sister, hope all goes well. My thoughts are with you and your family. BTW is that Age of Empires you're playing??
 |  |

Shikia has come through her opertaion successfully - to the point where, when she got back to the ward, all she wanted was her breakfast. They were able to perform the preferred operation, where they make a hole, so a shunt will not be necessary. All that's left to do now is monitor the tumor More...

Eden From Australia - Yes it is but I prefer to play Civilisation - keeps me busy for days......

Why do dogs in hats always look so sad?

Re: descriptors for tyres; Offside and nearside are used quite often in the UK which I always have to think about before responding.

Glad to hear that your granddaughter is doing well Hugh.

1:56, Maen. Very early, very foggy. Off to work.
Have a Blessed day.
 |  |
I don't want a Blessed Day. Blessed Days to me are boring. Don't wish them on me any more, and, once again, don't even think about slipping a maen in there either
 |  |
What would be your ideal day, Baz?
 |  |
dis is super easy
 |  |
anything but a blessed day I would surmise
 |  |
That's it Frommie, anything but blessed. THAT rings of a religious experience, and that is the one thing I don't need. You might, and good on you for that, but I don't .
 |  |
Hugh, very pleased to hear your good news. I hope your grand daughter makes a speedy recovery.
 |  |
But that is not answering your question G, My ideal day would start early, work, and then walkies for Chopper, couple of beers, dinner, and that's that. Start an arguement on site, and then run away until the next day, and then start again. No blessings, no peace offerings, maybe some lurvin if I'm lucky and am with the wife at the time. Fantastic!
