Greg (and other puzzle setters) takes hours to work out the puzzles and then get picked on for one little error.......not nice.... 09/Dec/13 12:54 AM |  |
Hey, no one picked on me.... they just pointed out an error. C'est la vie! 09/Dec/13 1:05 AM |  |
everyone! From my experience, when posting puzzles, the ''picking on'' can be hilarious! I had many a laugh! Greg and I were even singing to each other yesterday. 09/Dec/13 1:55 AM |  |
 What a duet that must have been!!! 09/Dec/13 2:08 AM |  |
It was quite lovely, Hal. Okay, answers off to Greg, then on to making out Christmas cards! I also still have packages to mail around the country and our tree isn't up yet! 09/Dec/13 2:41 AM |  |

A lemming is a small rodent which lives in very cold (near artic) climates. We should therefore use the Polish/Nordic type spellings for this animal - leming. 09/Dec/13 3:30 AM |  |
 Kathy - I've been 'counting down' for nearly a year, and you're still behind??????????? 09/Dec/13 5:05 AM |  |
 Me Too - behind, I mean. Haven't started cards & letters or shopping. 09/Dec/13 5:07 AM |  |
 everyone!!! 09/Dec/13 5:33 AM |  |
I'm typing with a bandaged thumb on one hand and a bandaged forefinger on the other hand! Trying to help students solve an engineering problem, I cut my thumb with an open pair of scissors on Thursday in one class and my forefinger, same way in my grandie's class! 09/Dec/13 5:36 AM |  |

Neil.... not all lemmings live in arctic and near arctic conditions. We have Bog Lemmings here in Kentucky, and on my farm, and I think they're adorable. They look like chocolate colored hamsters. 09/Dec/13 6:22 AM |  |
I've bought my christmas cards, but haven't signed and addressed them yet. Nor have I purchased a tree, yet. I'm gonna have to do both in the next few days. 09/Dec/13 6:25 AM |  |
For plant lovers ~ This was on a blog I visit. Just a note about tapwater. I always had allowed my tap water to sit for 24 hours to allow the chlorine to evaporate. Still, my African violets suddenly started turning yellow. A little research revealed that the city now is using More... 09/Dec/13 6:28 AM |  |

 1:35. Good morning everyone. 09/Dec/13 6:55 AM |  |
In all fairness, I was going to wander out and finish up some shopping today. Unfortunately, we seem to have ice a-fallin' from the sky. Rather nasty out there. The cards are mostly done now, though. I wouldn't worry about it all, but I have to send packages all over the country. Oh, well, I'll get out when I can. As our friend Gail would say, ''It is what it is''. 09/Dec/13 7:02 AM |  |
I'll have to look into that, DoA. I have a rather sickly African violet at the moment. I wonder if that's the reason? I have always let the plant water sit before using it. Do you suppose that affects the grass, too? We watered quite a bit this summer. 09/Dec/13 7:10 AM |  |
Good morning everyone. My Venus Flytraps and Pitcher plants need very pure water or they die very quickly. I can use our plastic tank water or even better collect rain water. A bit of a nuisance, but the plants are really grateful. In their natural state they only get what falls from the sky. An interesting note, DorA. 09/Dec/13 7:25 AM |  |
Haven't had that problem yet! All my African violets died of neglect! Now with kittens, they wouldn't last a day here! 09/Dec/13 7:30 AM |  |
Kathy, left you a note in your box. Bats, bats, bats! 09/Dec/13 7:31 AM |  |
HI all! How can anyone kill an African violet??? They're indestructible! Me thinks there's some pretty bad water around if they're dying. Are you drinking it? 09/Dec/13 7:49 AM |  |
 Mr P can kill almost anything. 09/Dec/13 8:15 AM |  |
He either over waters or under waters with the same result - sick plants. 09/Dec/13 8:17 AM |  |
Although the African violet looks pretty good at the moment. 09/Dec/13 8:18 AM |  |
