I used kraken instead of "memory chain" on 8.5**
- not sure what "hidden UR" means peterj.

Hidden-ur is specific ur pattern with one bivalue cell and an overlaid x-wing pattern. http://www.sudokuwiki.org/Hidden_Unique_Rectangles
No idea why it is called "hidden" - I suppose because the other cells can be loaded with as many spurious candidates as you care...

You are correct Vici, it is a Jabiru Option 2 Instrument layout and Vdv is the only Sudoku member who has one - as far as I know.
