sotir, i can't see your reasoning. If d3 is 1 i3 can't be 1. if d3 is 6, d2 is not 6 and g2 is 6 but then ghi 3 is not 6 but this does not prove i3 is not 1. please explain.

2)triple 457 at c789, => a7<>5, a9<>57, b7<>45, c1<>45, c2<>47. UP 38.
3) locked 3's at de5, => de6<>3. UP 39.

Your second step is invalid.

Either (d3=1) is true
or (g3=3, h3=3 OR i3=3) is true.
There are three possibilities to the second part:
g3=3
h3=3
i3=3.

The elimination of 1 at i3 can only be made if d3 is 1, or if the third condition, i3 is 3.

however it may be one of the other two, g3 or h3.
