 Hi Everyone, I've just added a new feature: Now members can record their solving times and view them all later. When you solve a puzzle you will be asked if you want to save the time. To view the times, click on the 'Members' link in the main menu. Gath |  |
 Reminds me of my little one.. Hi everyone! |  |
 15:09 I found this one VERY tough Maen |  |
 Beautiful! They do get better at it! |  |
 Had to guess shamelessly! I suppose if I hadn't screwed up the possibilities, it would have been a bit easier. |  |
 Have a good one, puzzlers! |  |
 30:23 after setup. Picture reminds me of some old ones I should submit. |  |
 Brings back memories. The container is sometimes more interesting than what was in it. |  |
 Good mAen to all!! Was a toughie, and I didn't play with sticky fingers!! |  |
 A difficult but interesting proof: 1) Start 23, Unique Possibilities to (UP) 25.2) Locked 4s at gi1 forbid def1=4. UP 42.3) Naked pair 17 at ef7 forbids e9=17, f9=17, a7=17, c7=1. UP 43.4) Naked pair 23 at a26 forbids a3=23, a5=23.5) If f6=2, then the chain f9=2 == f9=8 -- More... |  |
 Gath - thanks for the new feature,(all of them) Your site's the best Love it!!! PJ |  |
 my 17 month old is still doing that! Good mAen, all! |  |
 An alternative proof - less interesting perhaps:1) Start at 23 filled - the given puzzle. Unique Possibilities to 25 filled. (UP 25).2) Locked 4's at gi1 forbids def1=4. UP 42.3a) Pair 23 at a26 forbids a35=23, a1=3.3b) c1=2 == a2=2 -- a6=2 == a6=3 -- g6=3 == g6=8 -- g3=8 == i3=8 More... |  |
 Hi Everyone, Seems to be a bug that stops the puzzle working in Firefox. I'll fix it asap. Gath |  |
 Clark 5)f9=2 == f9=8 -- f5=8 == i5=8 -- h6=8 == h6=3 -- a6=3 == a6=2 forbids f6=2Clark 7) e6=2 a6=20000 a2=2 a2=30000 0000 b3=3 b3=10000 0000 0000 a3=1 a3=5d3=2 0000 0000 d3=1 d3=5 d3=7e2=2 0000 e2=3 0000 0000 e2=7 e2=4f2=2 0000 f2=3 0000 0000 f2=7 More... |  |
 Hi Clark - I hope you do not mind - I rewrote some of your steps into matrix or forbidding chain notations. Very nice proof you gave today!I count max depth 8, so very similar to mine in many places. I think step 10 is especially clever. |  |
 Sorry some bad typo's in my step 3c):3c) f1=1 f1=30000 h1=3 h1=20000 0000 c1=2 a2=20000 0000 0000 a6=2 e6=2 f6=20000 0000 0000 0000 e9=2 f9=20000 0000 0000 0000 e23=2 f2=2 d3=2d1=5 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 d3=5forbids d1=1 My step 3c), for those who More... |  |
 Hi Everyone, Hopefully that has fixed it. Gath |  |
 An interesting color elimination in today's puzzle at 42 filled:c1=2 == a2=2 -- a6=2 =={Xwing on 2's at ef69} forbids f1=2.Using colors:c1=bluea2=greene6,f9=greenish yellowf6,e9=greenish redforbids f1=2 as intersection of blue and all green subsets. Also, as a More... |  |
 Timer stuck again today. Said only 4:38. I know it took me much longer than that. Seemed especially tough today.I have pictures like this of my kids! I even have one where he fell asleep in the mess, still hanging onto the corn on the cob! |  |
 A different proof: 1) Start 23, Unique Possibilities to (UP) 25.2) Locked 4s at gi1 forbid def1=4. UP 42.3) Naked pair 17 at ef7 forbids e9=17, f9=17, a7=17, c7=1. UP 43.4) Naked pair 23 at a26 forbids a3=23, a5=23.5) The forcing matrix:h2=2a2=2 a2=3h1=2 0000 More... |  |
 think something wrong with the timer cos it said 6.34anyway have a great day/night one and all |  |
 it's about time i finished |  |
 Had to guess maybe 4-5 times instead of my usual 1-2... Cute picture. |  |
 20:40 with only 2 guesses, went fairly smoothly most of the way |  |
 gee!er,guessed no doubt..and not ashamed of it..but still took good halfanhour..feel a bit ashamed of that!!!!!!!!!and the pic is simply adorable..cheers |  |
 Got there eventually! |  |
 GATH A while back I compared the webpage timer to my stopwatch. Always slow, and very influenced by the system load. When there is a lot of background garbage it is worse (even if it garbage under the rug possibly left by adware attempts etc.) Therefore the same PC could be within 2 More... |  |
 18:42 including setup...I think that's my best on tough! Beautiful blondie! |  |
 Over an hour to solve. |  |
