1. Starting at 22, basic techniques to UP=27.
2. d1=4 or 6. If d1 =6, a lot of things happen very fast in multiple branches. Every chain leads to a conflict but it is difficult to get a short chain because so many numbers get forced. Here is the shortest one I could come up with that leads More...

There is an improvement and a correction (I think)to my solution above --

At the end of step 4, Alfred informs me, when b7=4, it immediately results that i2=4, so UPs go to 39 there. (Duh. :-})

In step 7, after h8=6, c9=6. I left it out in shortening the chain, but it's needed for More...
