I have wildlife envy!!!
Just a question: Do you really have much more exotic specimens in Ostrich country or is it just a case of "The grass is always greener..."????

At one stage, either g6=2 or c4,c6,g4,g6 are all 5 or 7, which could not be resolved. Hence g6=2.

Well, I'm getting the tough puzzles now, but I'm not doing it by think-it-out logic, but by picking the square with only two numbers in it (50-50%) that seem to have the most pivotal impact on the puzzle. I solve for one of the 2 numbers, and if that doesn't work, I see if I can solve it for the More...

Plum, That's my method! I have to admit that I have never solved a "Tough" without a guess or two!

easy, gets down to a unique rectangle, c4, c6, and g4 are 57, g6 being 257 must be 2.

This one was very tough, but with some cheating I solved it. that was a lovely picture, I think that camel was smiling at us.

That's the first tough I've done without resorting to a 50/50 guess. Not so hard at all.

Basic techniques until 37 solved and then either the rectangle that chiefmsb mentions or an x-wing on candidate 2 in ai58 will unlock the whole puzzle.

YAY!!!
Bout time we had an easy tough....no guesses!!! No mistakes. I'm afraid my brain goes into a tizz when I try to understand the 'proofs'...wings are things that birds and planes have!!! Wish I understood what chiefmsb was on about!! [or jeff or alfred....]

Bean. A unique rectangle is where you have four boxes an the corners of a rectangle such as a1, a6, d1, d6 where in three of the boxes have two candidates, for example 12 and the last box has three candidates, two of them being the same two in the other boxes, eg. 123. if the last box were not 3 More...
