Debby: Mostly palmetto I'm afraid! And, filled with snakes! The place we used to stay at the beach when I was little had a boardwalk that went probably 50 yards/meters over the palmetto to get to the beach. I always felt like we were walking over a snake pit.

For me, three hidden pairs in Block h2 are the key. Unique possibilities fill 8 cells. That leaves d4 either 1 or 3. If 1, a longish chain forces a contradiction of two 7's in column C: if d4=1, then c2=7, g2=3, f2=1 or 4, f1=3, f7=9, c7=7. That means df=3, forcing unique possibilities for the rest of the puzzle.

this looks like one of mine. it was a very inviting beach. we didn't see any snakes; only saw wonderful sun, sand blue sky and beautiful blue salt water. it was a warm perfect beach day. we had a great time.
