I seem to remember a song in the sixties called Pasadena. Can anyone tell me how it went?

Hi Anne. John Paul Young had an early hit with Pasadena in around 75 I think.

Home in Pasadena, home where grass is greener
Where honeybees hum melodies and orange trees scent the breeze,
I wanna be a home sweet homer, there I’ll settle down
Beneath the palms in someone’s arms,
In Pasadena town.

"Home in Pasadena" by Grant Clarke and Edgar Leslie, music by Harry Warren, copyright 1923

Seems like we have three Pasadenas. Lyrics of first verse of JPY's (John Paul Young for non Australians - a pop icon in the 70's. For those who saw Strictly Ballroom [movie] about 10 years ago, he sang the theme song Love is in the Air)

Ooh Its such a long long way to Pasadena
Ooh Its More...

Thanks for the solution, Alfred... I checked it a couple times to make sure I was in the right direction, though only got UP to 52 cells and FC the bh9-57pair to find a8=1. Guess that was the UP I missed? Dunno.

Good maeN, all!

Thanks everyone for your help with the song, but I'm still not sure which one it may have been. I had a feeling it was an instrumental song. It was nice seeing everyone getting into the swing of things, though!

13:30, a reasonably easy one (relatively speaking of course.) For some reason I think I should be seeing a tumbleweed or two in the middle of the road!

salyz - does that mean that there's a Pasadena in Australia, or was that song referring to this Pasadena in Mexico (since I can't believe it referred to the P in California!)? I'm confused.
