note, I really should say krakens not required for T-Lite 8.8 when using cutting edge 'pattern in aic' de-krakenization methods.

1. Unique possibilities to 28.
2. Whether b3=6;OR ab1=6;e9=6. UP81

T-Lite 8.8, not even close to krakenish, but does use uniqueness: Two AIC+ extensive ssts + Mutant Finned Swordfish.

1) SSTS
2) Note: (2)bh3 are irrelevant to this pattern:
To avoid DP (12)c23,(12)i2, (15)d13, (125)i13 =>
(7)c2i12= (3)i123 - g1 = (57)g19 => g2<>7; some More...

slight typo above,(hopefully only one), can make it a one aic solution:

1) SSTS
2) Note: (2)bh3 are irrelevant to this pattern:
To avoid DP (12)c23,(12)i2, (15)d13, (125)i13 =>
Quantum ALS xz rc(3) => (7)c2i12 = (57)g19 => g2<>7; SSTS
3) (6)de8 = (6-5)c8 = gi8 - More...

Perhaps step 2) above could better be labeled as a Quantum XYZ Wing. (37) in the DP cells, (357)g9,(57)g1.

much nicer than my prosaic stuff Steve, will study later T-Lite 8.8:
1. SST to UP29
2. (2=7)h7-WW(57)h5g9.a59=(4)h5-h9=i8 # -2i8
3. (9)a3=(9-5)a5=a9-(5=7)g9-(127')cgi2=(1)c3 # -9c3
4. (7=2)h7-b7=(2-3)b3=(358')dhi3-(127')i123=(7)g12 # -7g89
5. { YW(36.9)i5cg6=(7)g6-(47)bf6=YW(39.6)d5cf6-(6=9)c5 }
# -47di6, SS(47)d49.fi8, -47i4, UP81

def. for "mutant finned swordfish" ?
28/Sep/11 1:21 PM
 |  |
Mutant - refers to one of the strong inference sets being considered are contained in a box rather than a row/column. In the case above, the box was Bh2.

Finned - refers to the excess member preventing the Mutant Swordfish at d4

But, then I am notoriously bad at names of patterns..... so I believe this to be correct.

Sadly, Kobold, I expect that I will be figuring plans all day tomorrow, and may miss your 9.0. I can only return to sudoku occasionally. However, I would like to thank-you for providing some interesting alternative puzzles.
